I can agree with this. I was also happy to see him actually yelling at Stingley after missing a tackle

I’m gonna wait til Lawrence, Logan, and Chaisson are back...along with Ika in the rotation before worrying too much. I would however like to see better tackling by some of our LBers and Safeties

Auburn showed you how the secondary are suppose to tackle last night against ND. Their one on one tackling was awesome.

I saw him getting on Stingley’s arse for not wrapping up and trying to strip the ball on that one play

After Georgia Southern I expected the team to play with that kind of intensity, and swag.Texas burst our bubble, injuries have limited our options, and they don't play with attitude.

this D allowed vanderbilt to score 24 points

many here said texas wouldnt score more than 30 and their offense is much more potent

how can anyone defend the D

Aranda gets a pass because hes not the one dropping int, missing tackles/assignments, but i guarantee if it was chavis or steele youd be calling for their heads

ive always been on the steele train because i felt like he got a bad rap when none of it was his fault and it turns out his D has been better than lsus since going to auburn

If we don't improve on out tackling & coverage it is going to be a long season! Aranda needs to step up!

4 yrs/$10m brings a disproportionate slice of credit and blame. The Dave will be fine.

I agree, if you sit back and think about the big plays they gave up, it was either someone out of position or missed tackles.

1) First play, Queen didn't keep gap containment and gave up a 40 yard run, then they gave up a 52 yard TD run later

2) Kary Vincent misses 2 tackles and those 2 plays go for 20-30 yards apiece, that's approx. 100 yards in 3 plays (unacceptable by the players, not Aranda's fault).

3) You throw in a few other missed tackles and you've given up close to 200 yards in offense and that makes your stats on defense look a lot worse than they should.
What I will knock Aranda about is mundane blitz packages and not being aggressive in playcalling ( this may be because of concerns with coverage and blown assignments causing him to be conservative) but overall he's putting players in position to make plays.
