Vince Lombardi head coach, Saban DC, Spurrier at his prime OC… throw it deep every offensive down, all out blitz every defensive down. Score on every play, don’t allow a single yard per play on D. If not fire everyone and lre the 3 random idiots on this board take over. That makes as much sense as what 95% of the animals on this board post.

Miles is a great coach hope he stays.

Because a ton of juniors declared early? How is that Miles's fault?

If anything it's a testament to his ability to get so many players NFL ready. And they are thriving for the most part. It's similar to the one-and-done players in college basketball, instead it's three-and-done in football.

With all that amazing talent and development, you'd think we would have won some titles... Les is a good coach and a motivator. Other then backing his way into the national title game in 2007, he hasn't won a national title. That amazing season we had in 2011, which will likely not happen again in a fashion like that, was all for nothing. Les completely surrendered the game and would not change a single thing despite being embarrassed the entire game. With the talent we had on offense last year, we should have had a better season. I am always tired of the youth excuse. Its your job as a head coach to work through these things. The offense situation can no longer go on like this, its completely unacceptable. Its really disgusting how much talent we do not utilize. I am completely happy with Les as our HC but he needs to make adjustments. His stubbornness has cost us at times. I'd rather take a chance on someone else then knowing we are alwaus going to go 10-2 or 9-3 every year. The purpose of everything is to win a championship. Unless we have everything clicking on defense all season, with the kind of offenses we produce. I don't see us winning another title with Les running it. Not with this kind of offense

I'm not a pumper, and also wouldn't want to see Miles leave, but if he pushes this for yet another raise, you let him walk.

now you are just showing your ignorance...which is your rite...you and others on this thread are happy to see Les go, but have you considered another thought. If Les leaves, how many of our current players leave as well and how many of our recruits go elsewhere.... these young men were here mainly because of the Miles mystique..."he sends guys to the NFL...DBU, WRU,RBU" and the rest. If Les leaves, you will get about 10 players who will leave also...it always happens when a coach leaves an institution. As someone posted earlier, if Miles leaves, then CC and JC leave as well. Those high recruits who want to be coached by these guys will also go somewhere else.
These are the facts, this is what happens when coaches leave or get fired. If you are ok with that, then have at it.
I am not though; we have a nice nucleus of a team who have been through a rough year together...they will only be stronger next year. The recruits we have coming in for '15 will only help solidify the team and the '16 class could be very special.
If you don't care about LSU and its future, then go ahead and call for his going to elsewhere...

I don't care either way. A change can be positive for both sides.

If I were him, and I wanted to go back to my alma mater, now is the perfect time.

I'm mostly indifferent. There's pros and cons either way. But I'm slightly more for staying than going.

Yeah well thats not what Alleva has stated as goal.

I agree that i don't want 9 or 10 win seasons every year with no real shot at the MNC but Alleva will hire worse than Miles. When that happens it will be the 90's all over again

Im with you. Thats why i want to give him until 2017 a tleast. The average fan on here doesnt follow recruiting and dont realize this has become a 4 year thing. You are recruiting this kinds younger and younger. Les goes and other coaches will be able to snatch up guys while we are searching for a coach. All the other sec programs instead of UF will be out on the road recruiting.

If you are worried about draft eligible players leaving, they will for sure now. you may also have some transfers, especially younger guys from oos that didnt necessarily grow up LSU fans, but built the relationship with the coaches here. This will set us back a few years. Unless we get a home run hire, which isnt likely. And this 2014 class with LF and et all would just be a complete waste because we wouldnt have built the required depth around them to win like we did with the 09 class.

That is why im not ready. Les is setting this team up to make a serious run. If he doesnt win one in the next 2-3 yeas then i will be ready.

If he gets a raise and another extension after this season because of these rumors, I will be pissed. Raises and extensions should be performance based and right now Les does not deserve one. If he wants to go to Michigan them more power to him. LSU will be fine.

I never said Id be happy if he left. I want Les here, but he needs to make a few changes. Its not that difficult. Any coaching change has it share of losses to players. While lots of players come to LSU to play for Les, lots want to play for a program like LSU. Big schools can sell itself easily. I do care about LSU. My opinion is not ignorant at all. Im saying if Les wants to play the game, you let him walk. But question, if we have another season like 9-3 next year and the year after, what are the excuses going to be? The goal is to win a championship. Les does a tremendous job brining in great players and sending them to the NFL. With all that talent, we need to see results. I am all for Les staying. I just don't agree with all his decisions. Just because he is the head coach doesn't mean he is always correct about things. He deserves lip at times. I want Les to stay and succeed here. I really want that. I have just gotten to a point where, there is no excuses for what we are putting on the field. I was expecting a struggle this year offensively, but our performance and coaching on the offensive end was pitiful and unacceptable.

The record is not indicative of the talent we have which tells me that it is either being under coached or under utilized

You mean the 103-28 record which happens to be Top 3 in the nation or the 58-26 SEC record that is Top 2 in the SEC? How does one get accused of "being under coached or under utilized" when they have those kinda elite results over a 10 yr. period of time?

Look, if the best results LSU has EVER had over an extended period, both nationally and SEC wise, is not good enough for you, so be it.

Personally, I have fully enjoyed the last 10-15 yrs. of LSU football and I am not going to get bent our of shape cause that time period doesn't contain 5 more wins or another NC or 2, but if you want to....knock yourself out.

In that case, you must have developed some masochistic tendencies in the last few years there man.
