re: I’m not defending JD but he seems to be a kid who gets rattled easy. He gets nervous.

His upside heavily outweighs his downside. The fact is that Nuss gives our receivers a chance to catch the ball and make a play, so far in 15 games under JD I haven't seen that.

This is going to be a long few weeks. Until we play better against SEC Opponents this board is going to complain and overreact to everything.

Kelly doesn’t put Nuss in to avoid a QB controversy?
Well ,are you saying there’s no QB controversy now?

JD is a very talented QB, but his decision-making is extremely slow and he is hesitant to pull the trigger. That is why he is most successful on things with quick reads like the RB Wheel route to open the game, quick outs, quick slants and comebacks (think of his go to play to Nabers). Outside of those, he struggles and only gets out of it because of his legs. Problem is, this severely limits the offense, and ironically the running game.
Travis for FSU is the opposite. He takes his progressions, makes adjustments on the fly (i.e. slight hesitation to get a window or his WR open), and then makes a quick and confident decision.
That was the difference in the offenses in all honesty. One QB opened up the run game, while the other stymied it.
Again, JD is very talented without question, but will always be limited by his slow decision making. He could improve this, but right now it doesn't seem that he has at all and it is year 5.

False. The line did not run block well but actually did ok in pass protection.
He was sacked four times.
Contrast that with the FSU QB who wasn’t sacked. Some were on JD and some on the OL.
