The coaches need to do a good job of getting the team over the annual post Bama loss funk. After watching our d play lights out against Bama, I'm pretty confident in winning the remaining games.

I'd be happy just to curb stomp Florida. Arkansas would be a bonus.

This is where we see if O is the guy. Great defensive effort last night.

I think last night proved just how talented we are. Now we'll just have to see how motivated they will be now that the season means nothing but a decent bowl bid potential

If we win out I see a Gator Bowl or Cotton Bowl in our future

This is when you see it? You do realize that we put up 0 points with multiple turnovers on bama's side of the field. Teams are putting up 30 and 40 against bama, but now we're going to see if O is the guy.

You people sure don't expect much in life. We have an opportunity to grab a top notch, proven head coach and you people still want to settle for a dl coach that was a miserable failure at his only HC stop.

It'd be somewhat nice/amusing to quell the Arkansas retards for once, but I really don't care anymore

Yeah, after we picked off the first pass, started on the 35, went backwards and got the FG blocked, I knew it was going to be a long game.

The defense played heroically, but we had no chance.

O is not the guy. He will not bring offensive innovation, he's a less qualified, less successful version of Miles. His idea of improving will be to try to bring better players in and do the same thing; but that will never work against Alabama.

TBH the team ought to be used to losing to Bama and playing meaningless games in November. Meaningless as in all preseason goals are off the table.

I dunno, I think O probably realizes he knows nothing about offense but needs to bring in someone who does.

But he has a Cajun accent man!! Don't you know that he loves LSU? These clowns that think O is the best man for the job are delusional. I like O and think he's a great asset to the program but he should not be named head coach. This is too big of a hire to promote our DL coach to head man.

This team just got shut out at home.

I am far from optimistic. Arkansas is built like Bama so this next game is going to be tough. Florida is a toss up. A&M may be a win since they also tank every November.

1-2 is my prediction.

Sorry guys, I'm just trying to be realistic.

Curbstomping three tomato cans didn't prove he was good. Losing to the #1 team in the country doesn't prove he sucks.

But I saw some huge red flags last night:

1) Calling timeout with 8 seconds left. That allowed Alabama a shot from close to midfield. I can see the argument if you were going to try to pick up 15-20 yards and run out of bounds. But it mde no sense if you were going to throw into the end zone.

2) Wasting two timeouts early in the third quarter by not getting plays called. Delay of game another time. If it's that unreasonable to expect coaches to get plays to the quarterback in a timely manner, we might as well have kept Miles.

3) Lack of adjustments. We were getting owned up front. Instead of calling plays that bought Etling more time or got the ball out of his hands quickly, we called runs between the tackles and slow developing passes. Looks like the real reason we were a second half team the past three games was our opponents didn't have the talent to hang with us for 60 minutes.

4) Not making a QB change. Could have done it for a series just to mix it up. Looked like 1/9.

That defense was great! If they play the rest of the season like that....we're good. Fournette should run angry the last few games in his LSU career.

Looking to next year, develop a DT quarter back and we finally beat Bama. No mattet how much the Rant or even Coach O wants a pocket QB, we will not beat that defense with one. And the difference in the game other than their dline was they had a dual threat who made plays and we did not.

they need a qb all those 4/5 star players and crap for QB better to run a wild tiger than that inept qb. He was frozen scared QB play sucks and has sucked for so long it is just terrible. When will they finally get a real qb.
