JJ's passes and QB play in general was pretty awful in the first half, and you'd have to wonder if Lee would have been given the same latitude.

The good news is he broke his streak of conesecutive games with a center exchange fumble.

Whats odd is, i really dont recall seeing the option much in the first half, which is what i thought made Jefferson the better QB.

It would be a real shame in the biggest game of the year to stay with JJ all game if he stinks it up for the first 2-3 quarters

It didn't burn him last week when that happened, why would he worry next time?

Lee was coming in, but field position/other factors changed that.

Mile's was not going to let JJ be completely ineffective for the rest of the game, and not give Lee a chance.

I really disagree with the post to which you are replying, but i have to say i disagree with your reply almost as much.

Bama wont make the mistakes Georgia made to keep us in the game, plus we would have a much more difficult time coming from behind against bama's D.

If the point here is that there will be very little room for error against bama, then i can agree to that.

Message Posted by Jay Quest I am not a fan of Jordan Jefferson and consider him to be less than a mediocre SEC quarterback. But I do believe he, when compared to Lee, is our best chance against Bama.

I feel this way also. If JL plays, bama will blitz the hell out of him and he will turn into hot shite.

At least JJ can move a little to avoid the pass rush against bama.

Exactly. LM said this, either Krag or Stud also said it. Rantards refuse to hear it and/or believe it. Rantards gotta rant.

I vote the rantards should be nominated COY awards instead of Miles.

One thing about Miles is that he has no regrets and is a cold heartless person when it comes to football matters...He is kinda like Ditka when he coached for the Saints and all the fans wanted Jake Delhome but he was the coach and wasn't gonna be told by the fans who to play at the QB position no matter how horrible his QB was....It's EGO Miles will never let JL play a meaningful snap at LSU again....Wrong? yes Supid? yes Could it cost LSU the NC? yes and probably will...

Yes, JJ can move if Bama sends the pressure but when he starts to throw, at some point between the brain and the releasing of the football from his hand someting goes wrong, dude just ain't wired to be a QB...

I guarantee you that after the subpar JJ performance in the SEC championship game, Miles and Kragthorpe have Lee suited up and practicing again.

As it turned out, we actually won the game last week.
Should have stopped right there.

Missed the presser where he has been hanging at practice in sweats and tshirts.

Despite Lee's excellent season prior to bama, for some reason Miles thinks JJ is the better QB, period. There really isnt more to discuss. His actions are consistant with that observation:

Lee gets yanked when playing well to give JJ time, but JJ doesnt get yenked even when playing poorly.

After throwing 2 INTS at Bama, Lee has not seen a meaningful snap, and has been relegated to mop-up duty.

Miles: "JJ > Lee"

True to an extent. The o-line looked awful and we couldn't run the ball either. It wasn't all JJ. I think JL is a better passer but I doubt he would have done much better witt he rush that UGA was getting, at least if the same plays were going to be called. If JL had come in it is more likely we would have seen some quick wr screens or 3 step drops that I believe would have worked. I don't see how anyone can complain about how the offense performed in the 2nd half though.

I am totally satisfied with this season regardless of the outcome. This team is a championship team. The only thing I would hate to see happen is for JJ to get us off to another slow start like he has been doing and we won't have enough time to recover. I would be upset for the team if this happened. Hopefully win or lose they leave it all on the field and have no regrets.
