I’m going to be pissed if we only have Jamar Chase and Derek Stingley Jr for 2 years

If we don’t have football this year, Jamar Chase will sit out and go to the draft. Derek Stingley Sr. said on radio the other day that if this happens Derek Stingley Jr will only play one more year instead of two. It would be a damn shame to have that kind of talent for only two years. I felt the same way when Jermey Hill and Trai Turner left after their redshirt sophomore years.

Yeah that’s what sucks the most. All of this talent will only play 2 seasons at LSU.

Well we got a NC, so at least we didn’t waste one of those years, but yeah it would suck.

I’ll feel bad for Jacoby Stevens though. He came back for this shite and was really wanting that respect nationally!

We survived just 2 years of Chris Jackson and TM7–we’ll be ok. It will suck, though. And if they stupidly try to squeeze out season in the spring, just think of how many guys throughout will sit out. I think playing in the spring is actually worse than not playing at
all—it would just frick too much up.

Think about if this pandemic hit 3 months earlier and 2019 season was cancelled in December and our greatest season ever never happened.

Just to clarify, I’m talking about if they try to have a spring “2020” season. Anybody who’d be eligible after the 2020 fall season and has NFL aspirations is gonna likely want to prepare for the draft rather than play in such a weird spring season.
I mean, I don’t know what a spring season would actually look like, but even if the NFL agreed to move the ‘21 draft back to accommodate a spring “2020” college football season, they’re not gonna move their ‘21 season back, so the college guys who play in the spring pull have to go straight from there to whatever little time they’d have to prepare for the combine and draft, then go right into NFL training camp and season with almost no time to rest their bodies. Nobody’s electing to that unless they have to.
And a spring “2020” season would inevitably push back and frick up the 2021 season. So guys that would be eligible after that would strongly consider sitting that one out too instead of having it bleed into NFL prep. So, instead of only getting to see Stingley play 1 season, playing the ‘20 season in the spring may force him and guys like him to potentially having already play their 1 and only college football season. Granted, there aren’t many like Stingley, but there are a few. It just makes no sense trying to squeeze 2 college football seasons into 1 year. If you can’t play this fall, just take the “L” and gear up for ‘21 to start and be played on time.
