We'll see. I predicted on a Saint's board where I am very respected that St. Louis would manhandle the Saints and I was equally ridiculed. See what is happening now?

I'm a huge student of the psychology of the game. Blow out one team, you open yourself up to your own blowout the next week (in the NFL). Replace players (even with better ones) and you end up looking like the Texas Rangers.

It was never realistic that we would hire Nutt. I'm not sure how well documented it was that Saban gave an official "recommendation", although I believe he commented that Nutt got the most out of his players... back then this was the conventional wisdom, although this is debateable given his SEC record. Anyway, as everyone knows Saban and Nutt are both represented by Jimmy Sexton, so there's much speculation as to whether that was the reason for any "endorsement".

In 2004, Arkansas went 5-6, and we obliterated them 43-14 in Little Rock the final game of the season. I think Arkansas was hoping we would steal him away at the time. Needless to say, Skip Bertman was not going to trust his legacy as AD to Houston Nutt.

Let's not act like everyone's always felt this way though; until about two years ago everyone thought Arkansas was crazy to run off Houston Nutt in favor of Petrino.

Yep, Mathieu was rusty as hell heading into the Cotton Bowl and the Oregon game.

Good burger but it has been closed for a while and the grocery store burnt down to.

This has got to be a young kid. He was probably the "manager" of his hs football team, therefore he was the coach. I gurantee his football knowledge isn't respected anywhere with that kind of logic. I have NEVER seen anything this fricking stupid on this board, never.

I feel like this dude is an idiot, but some of yall are being too hard on Jordan. i do not believe lee bailed us out of any games really. lee had 2 tds all season and they came in the folrida game. Jj had 2 tds in the florida game alsi. Lee is a better passer, abd JJ is a better runner. i think everyone knows that. Im just glad we have both of them plenty of teams wouldnt mind having either rt about now.

I want LSU to win. Thus, I'm trying to avoid all the hype that increases here every day. It went from "it will be a close game" to talk of a massacre or "waxing" of Alabama's arse. Reality check: It will be a close game and we'll be fortunate to win.
In your vast experience, have you found that message board poster's homerism has an incredible impact on the actual outcome of a game?

It is on the road.
Hey Tony Larussa, check your historical references again. LSU has won 67% AT ALABAMA in the last 15 trips. 80% in the last 5 trips.

We need more Jefferson and less Lee (get the Jefferson and Lee reference?)
Imbecil.

We need a more wide open offense.
And somehow JJ brings this? What on earth are you basing this on?? Again Tony Larussa...check your historical facts.

We need to not start Mathieu and Ware since they missed the last game. Don't underestimate the rust factor.
Rust? Ever heard of playing with a passion that WILL happen with those two guys?

In my two years as a high school coach, I learned how to win the tough road games. It isn't easy.
Shut the frick up.

Explain to me what JJ brings? More Speed? I rather our stable of RBs run the ball.

Yes you are right. Skip knows coaches. We are still recovering from hiring Smoke Laval. Finally coming out of it hopefully.
