This has to be one of the dumbest things I ever heard.

Watch the game.
Sure, it may be as stressful as you believe it could be, but even in the worst case scenario, it's the #2 team giving the heart-attacks, not some goofy team with 12 men on the field.
But I got a strong hunch we win outright... in another big game, on the road, with extra time to prepare.

For real though. That's dumb. People bring stress upon themselves. Just suck it up and watch the game.
Like another poster said, you'd probably endure more stress not watching the game and knowing that it was going on.
What would you do while it was on? Make sandwiches or something?
Dude, it's 2 weeks before the game is even played, and I'm checking TD more than I'm working. I haven't posted this much on TD since '07.
The bad part is, this is the best Tiger team I have ever witnessed play football.

I know that is weak, but I don't know that I can handle the stress. There's not enough beer in the world.
I'm thinking of TEVOing the game and watching it (or not) after I see the final score. If we lose I trash it, if we win, I watch it.
I'm a middle aged man...I only have so many years left to live, and if this game lives up to its billing, I'll likely lose 10 years off my life.
:inb4: "coolstorybro"
I can not understand being a Tiger fan and not watching them play, particularly this game, which could be one of the better games in quite some time. Wow.

I went through a period right after Saban took over that lasted through the 2002 season where the Tigers would stink up the joint when I was watching and would do well when I was not (leave the room, they score a TD). It was comical. I spent the fourth quarters of the 2000 Tennessee and Moo State games pacing the yard, and I went to Home Depot late in the third quarter for 2001 Arky.
I finally realized I was taking both football in general and this strange phenomenon specifically WAAAAAAAAAAY too seriously.
Sack up and watch all four quarters live.

Who knows you could be LSU's good luck charm. If LSU loses and you didn't watch the game then we'll all know you blew it!

When I'm stressed watching a game I run on my treadmill or do push ups an sit ups. It helps. Try it.

I kind of think this too, but in 2003 I was totally wasted before the pre-game was over. I was chugging beer like water.

This equals more stress. You literally look at a screen and anxiously wait for it to change.

See, this is good...Like counseling from fellow Tiger faithful.
I'm feeling better already.

i have tried this before. it doesn't work. you will cave.
unless you take a horse tranquilizer i don't see you being able to ignore the game.

I've tried changing the channel before and find myself going back in less than a minute
I can't imagine what it would be like trying to tune it out completely.
