I’m confident in Brady staying another 1-2 years, but how much longer

I truly believe Brady wouldn’t leave LSU for a lateral OC position (thinking he will he promoted by LSU this offseason) or even a HC position unless it was at a premier school. If LSU can fend off the NFL this year it would be a tremendous success and the biggest “recruit” of 2020 by far. He’s still only 30 years old and will be able to choose where he wants to go after another year at LSU, once given the full reins of the offense and play calling. And if Brady is able to develop Brennan into a top 2-3 QB in the SEC next year, it may be lights out if LSU can hold on.

My only hope is that Orgeron, Ensminger, and Woodward have a 24-28 year old grad assistant stuck in the box with Brady and company. They need to have a new guy groomed and waiting in case Brady decides to leave after this year. Someone to be best friends with Brady, divulge in the playbook, analyzing defenses, building route schemes etc... basically have an apprentice to Brady in case he decides to leave and/or Ensminger retires or steps down

Regardless of what happens, this 2019 with the Bama win, Heisman win, and hopefully a chance to lift the CFP trophy in NOLA will be all worth it whether he leaves or not, can’t thank him enough for his lasting impression on the program

On to 2020, looking back at a hell of a year 2019 was for the Tigers!

Brady would be smart to stay longer than that. All one would need to say to him would be to look at Lane Kiffin's journey.

I think he moves on after the championship game. He will have accomplished everything he can here and in just one season. He will want a new challenge. He will get a promotion somewhere else unfortunately

If Brady leaves, he’ll likely have a recommendation as to who to hire.

The bar has been set. The LSU offense has been successfully transformed and there's no going back at this time.

If and when Brady leaves, I'm confident that Orgeron and Woodward will go out and get the best guy available. I think a lot of people kind of unconsciously believe that losing Brady means LSU will suddenly revert back to what we were a few years ago.

I think the success and change in culture surrounding the offense this season will last for many years ahead. We'll bring in someone who will run a similar spread style system to maximize the speed and talent that we'll have.

Woodward won’t let good talent walk. Will pay top dollar. Alleva would not

How much longer, ah I'd say another 6 years ?? ? Sounds good to me. Brady wants to get more tastes of gumbeaux. Lsu can put up any kinda money to keep him as long as he wants to stay. So why not

I’m excited to see how he does with a QB that’s not as good as burrow. That’s when we will know how good this guy really is

Brady is staying until the NFL calls, which looks like it might be this year actually.

Literally his friend and college teammate DJ Mangas is in the booth with them. He’s an analyst and former William and Mary Offensive Coordinator.

Unfortunately, I have to disagree. I don’t think it’s smart for us to pin our offensive hopes on an OC in his 70’s. With all due respect to Ensminger, my ideal scenario would be for us to win the NC, Ensminger retires, and Brady gets promoted to OC.

Well maybe Mangas is a guy Brady would recommend to Orgeron if he were to leave? Didn’t know about him. I think a lot of LSU friends are gun shy about reverting back to years past and being conservative - especially if we weren’t to have Brady along with Burrow

He's going to need to prove himself without Burrow before he can be considered a magician to other programs

true, and other DC's will have time to develop defenses that may be more effective.

On other subjects, Bama looks like a hopefully downward trend and we are moving up. Vary good.

The bar has been set so high now it’s pretty much impossible to hit it again. The offense has been ridiculous, it truly resembles a video game.

If he leaves LSU would just go grab another NFL assistant in TC McCarthy from the broncos

Ed Orgeron is 58 years old. If I’m ED, and I think Brady is as important as you seem to think he is, I’d give him a contract that promises him the OC title in two years with a $1.8 million salary. In 5 years after that he would get the Head Coach position at a salary equal to the average of the top five salaries in college football. At that point I (Ed Orgeron) would be 65.

If for some reason he is not offered either job he gets a big cash settlement. That’s how I would retain him. That’s how FSU retained Jimbo Fisher.

Except Jimbo Fisher was an established OC at 3 different major programs and Bobby Bowden was 78 years old.

Other than that, same

If Brady coaches up Brennan to the point of even somewhat resembling Joe, his stock will go further off the charts.
