I’m all in on Jay Johnson! He’s great at navigating this talent!

We’ve got a coach that is great at assessing what he’s got as far as pitching and fielding and hitting. He can’t predict the future. We’re in great hands y’all! This team is special!

Another random thread. I think someone is drunk/fricked up on something.

Other than Omaha in 2023 our bullpen pitching has been terrible. That’s my worry with him

Our bullpen pitching was pretty feisty last year in the regional and in 2022. I am not a huge fan of Yeskie but I’ll let him prove it this year. This team has the bats to go far, we will live and die by our pitching.

THIS! Even with that go further and take Skenes out of the equation. His plan A-Z is score 10 runs and hope for the best. Look back at his numbers. Every year his teams are near he Top of the Conference in hitting and middle to Bottom in pitching and defense.

Lots of fans dislike his management style because he does some things differently. As an example, moving Beloso to the leadoff spot in Omaha.

That was the moment for me when I realized you could throw a lot of preconceived notions and standard baseball operating procedures out the window with him.

I would say that Jay is a big risk, big reward type manager. He does a lot of tinkering early to midway through the season and seems to really go with his gut versus what the numbers are telling him.

As for his middle relief rotations…I have no clue how he determines that.
