For what? The kid is starting. And he’s going to keep starting. He’s also better than he’s been the last couple weeks. I have no doubt he rebounds. He’s a good defensive OF and will continue to get better with reps.
You’re the one who said he’s “just a singles hitter who strikes out a ton.” Even with the slump, both were wrong.

So what am I apologizing for
Posted on 3/30/22 at 2:27 pm to Lester Earl
Are you purposefully being dense or this is just who you are? Not sure which is worse.

I was just again reading the first page & laughing at how cocky & ignorant you were. So I’m just asking what should I apologize for
Posted on 3/30/22 at 2:34 pm to Lester Earl
What exactly on the first page is incorrect? Or even cocky? All I did was quote you and link you and Jack. He’s not just a singles hitter. His slg vs average is up there with Crews at almost a 300 point difference. His K rate doesn’t reflect a “ton” like you said. He’s not a below average defender either. It’s okay to admit being wrong. I’m wrong about him hitting 0.350. I was hopeful and thought it was possible because he’d shown flashes of being that good when he was healthy.
Jack’s posts are downright hilarious at this point.

What do you think his SLG be by the end of the year?

He’s struck out 9 times alone since you made this thread lol
Posted on 3/30/22 at 2:50 pm to Lester Earl
I think he can keep it above 0.480
Posted on 3/30/22 at 2:52 pm to Lester Earl
Which is why I said even with the slump the overall numbers don’t reflect a “ton”
You really want to narrow down his season to 2 weeks when you bitched and complained about people singling out Bianco’s two week play at the end of last year?

He's struck out 13 times in 64 PAs. That's a K rate of 20%. For someone who claims to be an expert in baseball statistical analytics, that's quite the take given the SEC average is 19.5%. So he's average by SEC standards yet strikes out a lot. Don't bother trying to explain that illogical take.

Like when you started this thread and tried to call people out over a very obvious hot streak? Lmao
Posted on 3/30/22 at 3:05 pm to Lester Earl
It was after him heading into sec play as our starting RF and mainly for Jack who said he wouldn’t even be on the team and has had to walk back every statement he’s ever made about Gio. This was almost 8 months in the making, not two weeks.

No one that understands baseball stats would have made this thread to begin with. His data is still in motion but it is starting to revert to his career numbers, rather than a two week outlier. This is why I don’t writes checks after 20 ABs.
I mean his career K% was like 28% coming in to this year.
It was 12% or so just last week.
And you’re telling me it’s 20% now?
frick are we talming bout here

You linked two threads about me in the 1st page about how fun they were. Not to fun now huh elly

Now do Bianco's splits for his career

"But that's different"

Yeah they’re still fun, Lesty.

27.4%, and Bianco's career K rate is 26.0%, just for comparison
And fresh reminder, Gio still hitting almost 100 points higher than Bianco in their careers

It’s not good, I never said it was good, and I certainly never flat out said he was better than Gio.
However, Extracting data from sparse playing time does not hold up as well as data from every day reps. And that is how & why they are different.
Bianco’s last stretch of consistent playing time yielded results way better than his career averages. We are talking almost 5x as many PA as the 24ABs this thread was started over
