re: I'll admit it: I wouldn't be as upset if it weren't for Bama's success

OP, just forget about Alabama football, except for the week of the LSU v. Bama game. It's the only method that makes sense.
LSU plays them once a year. Why not confine thoughts about Bama football to that one week out of 52.
Sure, if LSU v. Bama comes up as the BCS Championship game, then worry about Bama football for that week, too.
There is no reason to be concerned about Coach Miles's damn strong football team. Coach Miles runs a good program and wins 80 percent of his games.
If he would learn from his mistakes and constantly work towards improving all facets of his coaching, he'd win more than 80 percent, but, we all know that this is not going to happen. He is not a fanatical, driven individual that pours every fiber of his being into winning National Championships. In fact, LSU itself is not fanatically devoted to winning football championships.
So, just enjoy LSU football, hope for the best, and forget about Alabama football. You never know, 2007 could happen again. It's unlikely, but, you never know.

Miles BEST season at LSU was 13-1, so Saban has basically put up Miles best season 5 years in a row.
You are absolutely wasting your time trying to argue with any LSU fan about who is the better coach, Miles or Saban. People's minds are made up at this point, and no LSU fan is going to change his mind on this issue.
Now, take some time to talk to college football fans who are neither LSU nor Alabama fans. You will get a less biased opinion on this issue.
Anybody who tries to argue this issue with an LSU fan is simply asking to be personally attacked.

I wouldn't trade our shitty fanbase for anything. Love them or hate them, we have the best fans

I'm sorry, but did this thread make me a shitty fan?
My intent was not to compare the LSU to bama head to head record. Mostly my intent was to compare, and complain a bit, the whole body of work, the obvious differences in attention to detail, and differences in gameday execution; not just on a particular week, but every week consistently
