I’d rather better situational awareness with both Nuss and Sloan..

Sloan and Kelly were attempting to back Ole Miss off the line by throwing deep. The run game never opened up, as hoped. They had no choice but to let Nuss be Nuss at that point

When thinking of true gunslinger try to imagine Doc Holliday or Wyatt Earp. Hope that helps

I think Nuss has played fine this season. Of course all QB’s would like a few throws back but all in all he’s been fine. We have to find a run game. It would take this team from good to great.

Nuss has one of the best arms we’ve ever seen. You don’t take that away from him. He will learn to dial it back and take what the defense gives him. He had one poor interception and a few missed reads but was otherwise awesome. The nonexistent run game and poor play calling is holding him back from being even better.

Now there is a true fan. We have two QBs better than the All SEC QB.
What an evaluator of talent this coaching staff.

Also, kill the RPO plays when your QB is not a running threat

RPO and read option are not the same thing. You don’t have to a “running QB” to run effective RPO’s.

If he stops throwing into double coverage on long passes and just dumps it to Durham or Lacy, he is perfect for this offense. One thing he doesn't need to be taught and it took JD 5 years to learn, is to throw the receiver open. that td pass to #1 is a classic example of that skill.

Please let this be the time where you say he's shitty and I get to start bringing up stats and game winning drives

Wtf? I'm a Nuss fan. Of course I would rather him be what he is now rather than overly conservative. His biggest strength is his ability to make throws, why would I want to take that away?

I would rather be more aggressive than more conservative.

But keep this in mind--that INT in the 4th vs OM was not because he was being a "gunslinger". That was just a very dumb pass and a bad decision.

There is a difference between "gunslinger" and "bad decision".

we'd all prefer him to be 6th year Joe Burrow

is this a shot at Burrow? he didn't have 6 years either.

I want a combination of both. 1st play of the game for example hit the wide open guy in the flat to get us going.

Lack of run game is killing us. The whole Oline and RBs need to be pulled into a room and shown all the times we were only able to gain a yard or two when ole miss was playing 2, even 3 deep. Until that is corrected offense will not be able to reach potential. And yes I prefer gunslinger nuss because that is his comfort zone, and the deep ball threat will continue to get us advantageous run looks.

I don't understand the question without wins and loses.
He could be 300lbs and not throw over 200 yards if he goes undefeated.

The holy s#@ completions are more than making up for the occasional mistake. Let him throw it around.
