Really.

So a coach that never lost to a Sun Belt team, and who was responsible for maintaining an impressive streak of OOC wins was going to lose to Troy? Nah, you're stupid if you would play those odds.

Perhaps you missed 2012 and 2014. Much better showings than O's 2016 and 2017 Bama games.

this years team had the best performance in Tuscaloosa since 2011. Last years team was tied 0-0 in the 4th

Back to moral victories and participation trophies.

Nah. Ultimately, they were losses and contributed to him being fired. However, they were better performances than O has had.

Actually we should have won both those games...and that's another reason why I started to really dislike Miles and his conservative approach.

So why is being competitive vs Bama ok this year but not in previous years?

Why are we trying to compare miles to O? Doesn't make any sense to do that. The Miles era is over, he is not coming back, so all your doing is keeping your little Pity Party going.

Miles was great for LSU, not going to deny that, but his tenure was over when he couldn't adapt his offense to a winning strategy. His clock management, or lack thereof, drove me nuts along with his insistence to plow the middle of the stacked box. In other words, it was time for him to go.

Coach O will never be Miles, so quit trying to compare the 2, they are totally different. And to say one is so much better than the other at LSU is ridiculous. Give O time to either fail or succeed, but condemning him prior to 3-4 years is not fair to him or his players.

Want to be a Tiger fan, or just a fan of the coach?

And as always,

Lost by same margin but Bama had 434 tot yds offense to our 182 tot yds...not to mention we were 8-0 ranked in top 5...this year same margin but we had 306 yds offense to their 299...more competing in 2017 than 2015

The problem with firing Miles is we replaced him with an unqualified head coach that nobody else wanted. We will be lucky if O goes 9-3 every year.

This...and it may turn out o.k. but I what you said there is spot on.

Good for you.

So instead of having our NC hopes dashed at the Bama game, we traded that in for having no real chance at the NC by that time. Makes sense.

Let's just say this....Miles would have struggled to get to 7-8 wins with this team this year. He wouldn't have touched 10 (which they have a chance at).

No no I saw Miles piss those games away.

We lost 2012 and 2014 because of Miles...Also it is convenient that you leave out 2015.

This is a myth.

2012 - only lost the bowl game after Bama.
2013 - O losses after Bama.
2014 - Lost to Arky and Bowl game after Bama.
2015 - Lost to Arky and Ole Miss after Bama game.
