Don't tell me they don't look seriously at OOC and it hurts teams because it happened to Auburn. So based on the following there is no way LSU jumps undefeated teams.

USC OOC Schedule

Virginia, Ohio St, Notre Dame

Ohio St. OOC Schedule

Youngstown St, Ohio, USC, Troy

OU OOC Schedule

Chattanooga, Cincinnati, Washington, TCU

LSU OOC Schedule

App St, Troy, North Texas, Tulane

Bucks only chance of getting back to the BCS NC game is to go undefeated and even then they better hope no two other BCS teams are undefeated!!!

Negative, an undefeated Buckeye squad is in the game no matter want...I would bet my life savings on that. They might be ranked #2 but they are in. Period.

They may get in before another major conference team that is undefeated from a different conference, but when the voter actually thinks (which last year showed us was on Dec 3), they are not putting them ahead of an undefeated SEC champ. Hell, last year they could not get ahead of a similar record Big East and Big 12 team going into the final week.

The USC win will brush a lot of that away I acknowledge (IF USC goes undefeated otherwise), but no SEC team will get AUBURNED by OSU after the performance of their CURRENT players the past few years.

I agree. If OU, Ohio St, and LSU are all undeafeated then LSU is left out bottom line. Just ask Auburn how that OOC worked out for them when they went undefeated.

1) Will the OOC hurt the computer rankings? Yes.

2) Will voters weigh that more then a road wins at Aub, FL, a home win against GA and the SEC game in ATL over whoever? Ofcourse they wont.

3) Auburn was a completely different circumstance. I cant believe you are comparing the current #3 (THREE PEOPLE) OSU to 1&2 USC/Texas in 2005... that is just embarassing.

The Ohio State University will not beat USC this year but at least they have the balls to play SC. So does LSU if our AD would get someone who could schedule games like USC, UCLA, Michigan etc. If you can't run with the big dogs, and LSU is a big one, then stay on the porch. Sure we play Florida, Alabama, Auburn and Georgia (all tough games) but I still say if you think your the best then take on the rest.

Oh I forgot, LSU is god and if they go undeafeated along with 2 or 3 other teams then they are hands down the best team. I actually cheer for LSU, but I am also realistic. This discussion is pointless and a waste of time anyway because anyone expecting to be better than 10-2 this year is on Kool Aid

So if LSU beats 2 top 5 teams, and 3 other top 25 teams and tOSU has 1 win over a top 5 team and 1 other win over a top 15 team, you think LSU with 5 wins over top 25 teams should be ranked below a team with 2 top 25 wins because all 5 of LSU's wins are confernce games and tOSU beat 1 top 5 team OOC. That's retarded.

I don't anyone is scared to take on LSU. The AD wants ridicolouse deals made and the other teams say no because they are not bowing down to what LSU wants. Meet in the middle and make an agreement.

Do computers weigh OOC games stronger than confernce games?

He is arguing thatOOC games should count more than con games. I think it should be based on how many good teams you play.

If OSU, SEC Champ, and OU or WVU or anybody else is undefeated, its OSU V SEC Champ I firmly believe.

LSU is not what is different, itis the circumstance.... you are comparing #3 OSU to a #1 USC and #2 Texas... if that is not clear to you then you are indeed hopeless. Also the Big 12 champ was not beaten like a drum by the SEC for the NC in 01 and 02... there is no correlation in your example.

Nope. Math is not his strong point. The key to comp strength really is for your conference to represent in their OOC games. If the SEC has a w/l like the past few years, our SOS will be just fine

No, the system does not count OOC games more than Conf games. It helps, but if a team with LSU's schedule that is the defending champs goes undefeated, that team will play in the BCS CG.

I agree that 10-2 is about the best LSU will do.

That is what is fun with speculating... I cant see us going undefeated either.

That being said, USC is taking OSU down

Should any other Big 10 team go undefeated would they get the nod if they knocked off a #1 ranked Buckeye team???

Only team that could potentnially do that is Wisconsin I think or Illinois I think. Wisconsin because they should start fairly high in the polls but have a week OOC schedule, and if Illinois could do it that means they knock off Mizzou who is vertainly no slouch. Good question though...not really sure.

Take out "the running joke" Ohio State and you're at less than .500.

I agree there is no better measure of conference strength then the oh so relevant non-BCS bowl games. Man when Alabama beat Colorado I bawled like a little baby.

Hey, dumbass, that's how you find the best and deepest conference, by seeing which conference has the best bowl record and OOC record. Idiot.
