If this year is truly a rebuilding year

Why are we playing the guy who has 30+ career starts and can only muster 8/20 for 80 yards? It’s inevitable when we run into better teams Daniels will get benched when we’re down 3+ TDs bc he can’t throw

I would love to see Howard more if he really is the future. Jayden will be back next year and if he starts again we are in major trouble.

Because Daniels still gives them the best chance to win. Even in a rebuilding year the goal is to win. If you only win 3-4 games recruiting becomes much harder.

Here’s my take:
It’s not a rebuild until we’re out of contention in the west.
If we lay an egg against Tenn my bet is you will see a fair dose of Nuss at some point.
If we drop two games in the SEC you will see a lot more Nuss & maybe even Howard.

This isn't a rebuilding year. Team has too much talent to call it that. Why do people keep on insisting on calling it a rebuilding year?

It is, but LSU will always be in contention until week 6 or 7 based on talent alone. You play like you're competing for a championship until you aren't. Then you play to win all of your remaining games.
