I do think that if Crowton called a more open attack all game long we would be much happier with the result.
That's straight Les Miles, not Crowton. Crowton has never been conservative anywhere else he's coached. Why would he all of a sudden be more conservative when he has more weapons than he's ever had, including his time in Chicago?

Miles seems like the type not to come out guns blazing and trying to run it up. It's like his game plans are enough to win with the option of pulling out a few wrinkles if needed. I am a Miles supporter, but he doesn't seem to be the type to twist the knife once it's in.
ETA: That's why I'm saying the Vandy game is 31-14

Remember the Miami game?
True, sometimes the gameplan is perfect. See pretty much every bowl game he has had us in. Miami, Notre Dame, Ohio St, Georgia Tech. I just don't see that during the reg season.
ETA: And as far as panic, you guys haven't seen shite if you weren't on the board just after the Kentucky loss in 2007. I know there were hundreds of members banned that day.

vanderbuilt has a good ball team. i expect the score to be close and i expect widespread panic on this board.

since we did not have any relevant film on UW due to the new coaching staff's, i think we started out conservative and in kind of a feel 'um out mode. what i didn't understand is continuing that the whole first half. when UW showed us they were plugging up the middle, why sent Scott there just about every play? hell, the outside was wide open. i love smash mouth up the middle football if it works. if it doesn't, i love anything else that works.

Wasn't it worse for the Arkie game?
I don't know, there was too much alcohol trying to drink the loss away.

I was at the Arkie game, so I don't know how bad it was. I know the KY loss shite lasted all the way to kickoff of the next game. A few days after Arkie, the focus was mainly on Tennessee & Perriloux starting.

Before last week I viewed Vandy as at "trap" game. I still do, but the less than stellar showing in Seattle may have actually made me feel better.
They will still be recovering from a 5000 mile round trip, a game played off their circadian rhythms and with the fatigue of recovery, but at least they must see the need for work to improve that a blow out of UW might not have provided.
Vandy is tough early in the season before their first string wears out. Any win over them will be a good win.
A loss would be big, but with the setup of the way the season began, I would not be shocked.
LSU 31(again) Vandy 24

The panic started when Washington got their first 1st down the other night

Vandy is going to better than their typical teams of the past.
