Sec is tough enough and looks like 2 losses counts you out REGARDLESS of #1 strength of schedule. BEAT DEM AGGIES!!

Weird thread since both our losses were in the SEC.

You are correct, but there is no way for LSU not to schedule Florida and Alabama.

And you have to have one decent out of conference game.

The only reason we are a 2-loss team ranked above undefeated and 1-loss teams is because of our strength of schedule.

Hate to disappoint, but both our losses are SEC, and we are the highest ranked two loss team because of our strength of schedule.

A two loss Alabama wouldn’t even play in a New Years Bowl due to their weaker schedule.

EXACTLY so we should never risk an OOC loss. The SEC is hard enough!

So we have to schedule teams worse than Troy every year?

I think that risking an OOC loss against a solid opponent is worth it when your coach has a tendency to lose games he shouldn't. I think VA Tech was worth it in 07 when we lost to trash like Kentucky and Arkansas.

LSU has elected to make more money as opposed to give themselves an easier path to a championship. Bringing in higher level opponents and neutral site matchups make the program more money than the Southeastern/ULL matchups of the world.

I think what the OP is saying is that we need to keep our OOC games easy to keep the starters from playing so much and beating down our team. If we keep our starters as fresh as possible we have a better shot to be more dominant during the rough SEC stretch.
I couldn’t agree more.
Apparently as long as you look good doing it, it doesn’t matter what kind of shite schedule you come up with.
