We'll see.

What did you think our record was gonna be last year? 11-1? 10-2?

And we ended up losing 5 games.

Most Tiger fans had us prolly going 10-2 when RP was the starter and then between 9-3 and 8-4 when he got the boot. Most people (including me) were then duped by a win @ #10 Auburn into thinking we were better than we actually were.

If that happened, I think he would have to go to a BCS Bowl the following year, or he'd be gone. In fact, if does not make a BCS Bowl this year, he will start to feel some heat.

I disagree. If we won the West and then lost in the SEC CG then we probably wouldn't make a BCS game but I don't think anyone would say it was a bad season.

Miles should be fired regardless.

Miles @ LSU

42-11
2 SEC West Titles
1 SEC CHampionship title
1 NC

Last year sucked, but don't become an Alabama fan.

Well I think the winner will go to the NC, leaving the Sugar Bowl open to another SEC team IMO

You are totally wrong. Our Quarterback play (Jarrett Lee) was the sole reason this year that we ended up where we did.

A fricking moron could have seen that Jefferson was a better QB than Lee. Freshman or not.

So, It was totally Miles' fault for not pulling the trigger with Jefferson early in the year, which led to our downfall last year.

I put it all on Miles.

Sarcasm is hard to convey on the internet.

Last year didn't suck that bad all things considered.

We will cross that bridge if the situation materializes. For the time being, it's a subject better not broached.

Bunch of fair weathered fans...I never thought I would see the day that winning records would be treated like devastation.

Go 3-8, no bowls for a couple of years, and we can talk.

If it was so easy to clearly see that jefferson was the better QB, Miles would have made the decision at the beginning of the season. Unless YOU were at the practice watching JJ practicing, you don't know what you are talking about. Jefferson proved to be better however, Miles must have thought that wasn't shown from his practices.

Not gone, but the grumblings would begin

Did you read this board at all this past year? There was way more than just grumblings, even then. He'll be in VERY hot water with a 5 loss season. Don't know about gone, but if not, then he'll almost certainly need a BCS appearance the next year.

Miles acted like a pussy about the whole situation.

If he would have had the Nuts to pull the trigger earlier it would have saved us wins.

Only a fricking moron would think that a true freshman was as good in early September as he was in late December. Congratulations you've outed yourself as one(a fricking moron).

I would go with a true freshman with better talent than a RS freshman whos never taken a snap and continually throws Pck 6's any day of the week.

Only a Dumbass would keep a guy in the game that continues to throw picks.

Another Miles' hater comes out the closet. Bombay must've been really pissed after the SECCG and NC.

I just think Miles gets WAY too much love around here.

HE had 1 bad season, thats fine, but everyone is acting like this guy is coming off of a NC.

That was 2 years ago and if he continues to underperform like he did last year he needs to go.

I love LSU...but I dont love Miles.

Its called EXPECTATIONS and when you have the talent level that we had last year we should have done better. And this year we have increased experience from the QB position and a new DC, which also was a weak part last year, so thus we have high EXPECTATIONS, and a 500 record isn't good enough considering the talent on this team.

But true a 500 season is good for a team whose expectations are to be a below 500 team all year.

But we aren't like that anymore and nor should we be, considering the two NCs in this decade alone!!!

I could have coached them to 3-5 last year, plus consider how lucky we were against Troy.
If he can't do any better with the talent he has we should get someone else this is not some school just looking to make it to a bowl game.
That being said, I think he understands the misstakes he made and will have a great season and future at LSU...

Hello, old friend. I say we lose four, but I give Les one more year to right the ship. This class is too good, and I think it's best to show a little loyalty to a coach in this case. We don't want to become a school that has trouble hiring coaches in the future because the AD is too trigger-happy.
