I think Springer or Correa would get it based on first 5 games, with Bregman just behind them.

Verlander- pitched a great game 2, even with the loss. If he throws a gem in game 6 and they win it could go to him.

He got a no decision and they won the game. Even with that, I think a hitter almost certainly gets it in this series, even if JV is dominant on Tuesday and clinches.

Bregman is the only player that has performed in EVERY game so far, on both defense AND offense. If he has another game like he has had, he will win World Series MVP.

Altuve will win the American League MVP.

You right. I'm mixing games 1 and 2. This series has had so many ups, downs, twist and turns that its confusing.

him or springer would be the two best position players for the astros, but i think Bregman has been their most solid performer in the series, both offensively and defensively.

Bregman seems to be having the best series.
I am this board's biggest Bregman fan, but your statement is just silly.

There are at least two other Astro players who are having a better WS to this point and would be ahead of Alex for MVP of the series.

Bregman has had a great series, but you are looking at it with purple and gold glasses on if you honestly think that.

Like I pointed out, Bregman is the only one in the list of candidates who has an error charged to him.

It has been a complete and total team effort from the Astros so far. You can't say its just Bregman who is getting them there.

I only wish he would've been this clutch in LSU post season games......

Bregman hit well over .500 in Omaha in 2015.

Which is ridiculous because that error should have been charged on the first baseman that can't catch a ball that didn't even bounce.

Brag, don't use stats to support logic. You know better than to do that here.

I agree, and he's probably been the best defensive player on the Astros in this series. However, fact of the matter is, he has that error next to his name.

If you would have seen him post during LSU baseball season then you would understand that he is.....hmm, how do I put this nicely....a little slow. This is actually probably the best thread he's ever started, although he makes at least one of them a day.

Trust me, it could be worse.

No. Breg has been clutch, and his defense has been incredible... But Correa deserves it, and if Verlander can pitch a gem he may be in the running along with Altuve.

Tough to choose between Bergs and Altuve for sure. Probably between those 2.

If Verlander gets a very solid win and showing, he's in the running. He's been lights out since he went to the Astros including post season.

It depends tbh. I'd have to see what happens on Tuesday. Rn I'd say it goes to Altuve but honestly you can make a case for Bregman, Correa, and maybe even Verlander if he pitches lights out in this upcoming game bc he was stellar in his last outing.
