Georgia Tech fan? Enough said!

It was a factual statement that I am an idiot because I think that Rohan Davey leads us to a victory over Auburn in 2006?
Not, "I disagree with you," or, "Your reasoning is flawed because of this . . ." No, none of that. Just, "You're an idiot."
Classic.
This is why I love the Rant! Comedy hour lasts all day long!

And if Bert Jones had been in we could have taken on the Patriots!

no explanation of "why" you are an idiot is needed. If you even watched the 06 Auburn game and came away thinking that a different QB would have won, then you are obviously a fricktard. Playcalling, NOT JAMARCUS, cost us the game. What passes did JR miss that Rohan would have hit in that game. You said you think Ro would have hit the receivers that JR didn't. Name specific plays. You can't. I stand by my statement that you are an idiot based on this topic alone....and I'd bet most posters agree with me.

Please!! Herb Tyler had way more talent then Jamarcus Russell and he had less talent to work with. I'm not saying the QB lost the game either. I just feel if Tyler had more around him, it would have possibly been different. Some of ya'll are so young, you probably don't even remember Herb.
No, I remember Tyler well. He was a solid QB who excelled at running the option. I dont know why you would say he had more talent than the #1 overrall draft pick, but you are entitled to your opinion.

That's the problem with the rant. They all have jokes all day long. However, no one jokes around when the team loses. They blame everything on everybody. "Anyone can be a fan on a winning team, it's when the team is losing that a team can appreciate a loyal fan."

quote:This is the most horribly awesome comment ever. Thank you for giving me a new sig quote. This statement alone should have you banned for life for pure stupidity. Did you even watch LSU in the mid 90s? I bet you didn't and someone just told you about Herb being good b/c NO ONE would make a statement that asinine if they watched both QBs.
Please!! Herb Tyler had way more talent then Jamarcus Russell

If we had beaten Auburn, we would have played for the SEC Championship and would have likely beaten Florida. I was a big Jamarcus Russell fan and thought he did a great job. I just think that Rohan wins that game for us because I think that he leads that offense to more than 3 points. That's my take on it after watching both QB's over the course of their careers.
I dont know why everyone assumes LSU would have beaten Florida in the SEC championship. Wouldve been a tough game. And Russell and Davey were similar type QBs. Russell was better and more talented, hence his draft selection. What held back the offense was Jimbo's playcalling, not Russells play. LSU wins the NC in 2006 with Crowton, I have no doubts.

Tip there's a reason I'm here not on a Ga. Tech board.
The Icon helps me find my posts.

Yes, I forgot, you probably was too young in the early 90's. Why don't you watch some ESPN classic films then get back to me. By the way, there was a lot of people I played highschool football on the team back then. Less talent then the 2006 team easily. Do some homework!

Yeah right! And the USC fans on here use their Icon as well, except all they do is belittle the LSU fans. Secretly, they must be LSU fans, right?

I will say, had the 2001 team had anywhere close to the kind of defense we have now, we would have won the NC. We would have been unstoppable.

Please stop posting. Everything that comes out of your mouth is incredibly stupid. I was in college when Herb played so I remember well. If you think a 5 foot 9 QB w/ limited passing range and no ability to hit the deep ball is more talented than a freak of nature Russell then you are beyond hope.
I never said Herb's teams were as talented as 06 team. I merely disputed your notion that Herb on the 06 team gets us closer to a title than Jamarcus does. You then responded with possibly the dumbest comment I've ever read. Congrats. You must be becoming senile in your age. Go back and watch some games from 95-98 and then come back and beg forgiveness for your stupidity.

Yes, right. You must also be a delusional Raiders fan as well. I just think that Herb played with more heart and had less talent to work with then Jr. You probably also think JR is better than Hodson as well. You can have a stronger arm, but if you don't have the talent, then it really does you know good.

Seriously, I'm doing you a favor by telling you to stop posting for a while. Its best to just let this thread sink down a few pages and have no one else read your "Herb Tyler is more talented than JaMarcus" comment. If the day crew gets a hold of this you are toast.

I loved Herb Tyler. Easily, he's one of my favorite Tigers of all time. But you've got to be kidding me.

I loved Hodson too. But yeah, JR is better than Hodson.

The day crew, lol. What are ya'll some little fraternity. Oh no, my reputation is really on the line here. Kid, give me a break those highschool days are over. As far your Jamarcus Russell comments, I'm sure you will find that he will eventually be a "bust" in the NFL. He just had so many weapons, how can you not win football games. You'll see.

JR is the best QB to ever set foot on LSU's campus.
