Will he be on the hot seat? An 8 win season won him the job.

Hell yes. As he should be. He was left with mutliple top 5 classes including a top 5 current recruiting class and has 2 of the best coordinators in cfb.

I wouldnt want him fired but 2018 would need to be great.

If narcisse or Brennan end up starting then not really but that's a highly unlikely scenario

Everyone will be pleasantly surprised at how well the tigers play next year. We will finally have a competent offense to pair with our awesome defense. Qb play will be better as well.

As much as I wanted someone else to coach the tigers he is the coach and I give him 3 years unless it's absolutely terrible like a 5 win season.

If O only has 8 wins, I think he's fired this time.

How would you judge him after those three years, or what would your expectations be?

To be fair, he inherited one great coordinator. He selected and hired the other.

Miles friendship with cameron meant more to him than the success of our program. Orgeron had to find a good OC and he brought in one of the best.

Miles left the program in worse shape than the one he inherited. I think his replacement deserves at least 1 season especially since this was supposed be our year and we lose key guys and leadership next year

I don't believe you do Rickdaddy. your posts show an ardent hate for coach O. recently you have crawfished with statements like "it's not Orgeron's fault, it's Alleva's, etc".

his resume is water over the dam. why don't you drop the negativity. the man has made some really good moves and he has given LSU football something we've needed since '11; a fresh start and perspective. you were a big miles supporter and so was I until 2015. he was complacent and a change was needed. the coaching search didn't go like you wanted it to, we get that. frankly, coaching searches hardly ever do. many people were unhappy with EVERY coaching search since I've been alive; starting with Charles McClendon. Bo Rein is the only one I can remember that didn't have a lot of controversy. Saban was the coach we killed in the Independence bowl and skepticism abounded.

give the man a chance. forget his tenure at Ole Miss. he is a veteran of many wars and has earned his stripes. he'll either elevate our program or he won't. he damn sure elevated it so far.

Same question to you. What are the expectations over the next three years?

It's funny how some have moved the goal posts as to what is a successful season for LSU football now.

Before, ten win seasons don't mean shite. Now, a ten win season will be a success.

LSU wins 11-13 games next season.

my expectations are to compete for the SEC title. I expect to win the west (and therefore the SEC) at least once in the next 3 years and go to the playoffs. I expect a much, much better offense with a high level of execution and no frick ups trying to get the play in. much of that improvement began with O's first game but we certainly need to play better offense.

So, one SEC title in the first three years or he's out?
