he has the raw mechanics, a better, well, stronger, arm than Jeaux.

A full year as a student to this offense.

the talent around him will be equal.

We just won LSU’s first Heisman in 60 years.

Now we expect to have annual finalists

God if that isn’t classic TD Rant I don’t know what is.

i am saying the pieces are in place to have one agaon.

enjoy it while it lasts. all great teams fall, it is a matter of how long they can stay near the top

He has the raw talent. If he follows Joe’s work ethic he may be. I’m cool just basking in the glow of having a fricking HEISMAN QB at LSU. After damn near a decade of wishing for one...it’s here.

Possible but more likely 2 years from now. He’s a sophomore with little game experience. I can see him having a decent year next year then making a run in 2021 IF all the other pieces are in place.

Except they really aren’t. If it was that simple, Jamarcus would have gone to NYC at some point.

Consider where Burrow was last year in Heisman regard and reconsider your OP statement.

Also, if it doesn’t happen, then what? Brennan is underperforming because he didn’t go to NYC his first full year starting?

uh, that team was destoyed by the seniors/draft

and, in hindsight, you really think jamarcus had a work ethic?

How is it not? Your fricking title is

Ergo in your view the “pieces” are already all there, and if he isn’t there it’s because he didn’t work hard enough.

Burrow didn’t win it his first year, so I would think It would probably take Brennan two years. You are expecting a lot from a player that has not had very much playing time. Most of Brennan’s playing time has been handing off to the second string running back.

Talent means a lot more than raw mechanics. And how do you know the rest of the team will be as good? I seriously doubt it. I think we will see a lot of attrition from the ‘17 class, and that ‘18 class, while it has some special players, is only about 8 deep. The ‘17 class is twice that. I hope to be wrong. Maybe Orgeron can provide yet another amazing deed and convince them all to stay.

POTENTIAL = that which has not been done yet.

he will not do it in his first year as a player.

And if he's only 2nd Team All-SEC, he'll be a total failure!!!

Calm down man. What we just witnessed this season may not happen again for a very long time. And that’s perfectly normal and fine.

Not too sure putting that weight of expectation on Brennan is advisable. I just want to see him be himself, and play within his abilities. I feel very strongly that he has learned a bunch from Joe Burrow, and continues to learn this system. He’s going to be fine

Pump the brakes, Sparky. It’s people like you that make this board insufferable, with all of the wild predictions and prognostications.
