if vince vaughn had half the heart of Rudy he'd have been all-american

If either were Ricky Vaughn they'd be winning.

flynn is better

thats why he is on the brink of becoming an NFL starter and JR is at home.

if flynn had had the experience that JR had under his belt, we prob go undefeated in '07

AND did JR ever navigate an SEC title for us?

Matt Flynn is the next Joe Montana if he ever gets the chance. He knows his limits and knows how to take what is given him on every play. I'm not saying he will be as successful at Montana but he plays the game like Montana.

that's about it. ppl sell Flynn short on his abilities a lot IMO. you'd swear we were trottin' Wesley Carroll out there while he was here.

apparently JRs talent wasn't enough for a national championship and Flynn's was..

Pretty sure both teams had the same exact record.

We went 11-2 in both those years and Flynn brought us a national championship. All JR did was lose when it mattered(Aub and FLA). Flynn has to get bumped over him with the ring and the more promising NFL career.

Flynn lost "when it mattered" to Arky. And he didn't even play in the SECCG against Tennessee. And he didn't have anything to do with Mizzou and WV losing that day either.

You can draw similar conclusions with any NC Team. I'm most proud of how this team never gave up thru all the injuries and obstacles they faced. I watched Joe Montana win the Cotton Bowl against U of H and you could say would never make it in the NFL.

JR lost 2 games against Florida and Auburn on the road with horrible play calling. If the '06 team had the '07 team's schedule, then we would have gone undefeated.

No doubt. I'm only poking holes in the argument that Flynn was better than JR b/c Flynn's 2 loss LSU team won an SEC and National title whereas JR's 2 loss team won neither.

Fact is the 2006 and 2007 teams had the same exact SEC and overall records, but the 2007 team won the title b/c of circumstances beyond it's control.
