this is why i am so scared that there could be unfair officiating. the SEC knows their only chance of having a team in the title game is for bama to be undefeated. we are talking millions of dollars on the line here

Yup. And for those that say it wouldn't happen in a big game, the 2009 Bama game and 2009 Ark/UF game were pretty damn big too on CBS in every bar in America and nothing stopped em them. I hate to go there, but you can't ignore history or the FACT that millions are on the line with 1 bell cow (Bama) left and three other teams with legit chances to go undefeated, all of which would go ahead of a 1-loss SEC team.

are we really talking about millions of dollars here? If LSU wins out, Bama will be in a BCS game anyway, and the SEC champ will be in the Sugar.

That's 2 BCS payouts no matter what, right?

I don't think the BCS title game pays the participants more than the other BCS games, right? I think that changes in 2014, though.

All that said: yes, LSU will be battling two teams Saturday night.

No. The only one loss SEC champ that could have a shot this year is Bama if there are 3 unbeatens left.

If LSU wins Saturday, they essentially ruin the SEC's shot at another title.

This is the narrative ALREADY being pushed by the media. Pay attention!

According to the bcs wiki page the payouts are the same for all 5 bcs games.

and the narrative being pushed going into this game @Bama last year was that the only way there would be a rematch is if LSU lost a close one on Bama's field. Talking heads just gonna talk.

I don't see 2 of the 3 unbeatens left losing, but neither did people see OKie State losing to Iowa State last year.

I really wouldn't mind one bit if the streak was broken by us keeping Bama out if it. Would actually cherish it. The SEC doesn't really support us, so frick em.

This weeks game against Bama is it. The tigers need to focus on winning this game & we will be fine the rest of the season. I also agree with BGTiger

Remember the Divitt by Patrick Peterson? The ref
that did the instant replay had written a book about the Bear! How fair is that.

...if LSU wins against Bama will the SEC have anyone play in the national championship? Could this be the year that the streak comes to an end?
It could be the year for it to end. The media elites and the different conferences are clamoring for some teams other than the SEC champ to match up for the NC game. If LSU beats Bama, wins out in convincing fashion, and wins the SEC, we're still a one-loss wonder - and that could be just wedge enough to let media-beloved unbeaten Notre Dame play either unbeaten Oregon or unbeaten KState (if neither of them lose). Then SEC champ LSU will get sloppy seconds and best-case likelihood would be to finish ranked #3 (unless it's a blow-out in the non-SEC NC game).

I honestly do not thinkn if we win an SEC team can make the NC game, but Ill gladly take a Sugar Bowl this year with all our injuries cause were going to be solid again next year!
