If lsu wins 10 games every year including the bowl win

For the next 5 year , but never wins the sec west or make it to a BCS bowl
is that a success or a failure ?

If they win at least 10 every year they will win the west most likely 2 or 3 times.

Failure. The sign of a great coach is being able to put it all together for special championship seasons. Five straight years of 10-3 would be good, but to years of 8-5, two of 10-3, and one 14-0 or 13-1 would be better because you are competing for bigger things.

Depends are we 9-3 and then reach 10 with our Bowl Victory? If that is case we may not win the SEC West in any year

so basically 9 regular season wins which guarantee mothing

You play to win the SEC and hope the chips fall for the NC. Anything less is not always a failure, but people won't be happy.

I'd take 10 wins and a Chicken Biscuit victory every year. That will be enough to keep Les his job. As long as Saban is in T-town we won't be winning any SEC championships so we might as well lower our sights a bit.

should have said that in your OP, obviously, the bowl game has nothing to do with winning the SEC west, so why would you even consider it when posing the question you did? that makes no sense.....<oh wait, this is the rant
