Teams can't help cancellations and there's no reason one or both schools should be penalized for it.

It should be considered a forfeit by Florida. Apparently LSU did everything possible to make this game happen. UF dragged their feet until the very last minute just to make sure the game wouldn't be moved to BR.

The tiebreaker per SEC league rules is the team with the higher conference winning %

It probably won't come to that because of the odds of LSU running the table and ending the season with only a single SEC loss are not great. But you can go ahead and turn in your college fball fan card now if you really believe that head to head decides the winner of 7-1 vs. 6-1 teams. You made a statement, you were wrong, everyone knows you were wrong, now you know you were wrong - just admit it. It's ok, we all know you didn't know what you said was wrong.

that's only if equal games are played. tie breaker means both teams have the same record (7-1 vs 7-1)but if one team is 7-1 and the other is 6-1 due to specific circumstances (like a game being cancelled)
they use the head to head at that point in time. Same will happen in the east as well

In a situation where the opposition cancels the game then they should be obligated to forfeit that LSU game. In NO WAY should they be allowed to receive an advantage from this! This will not be the last time this happens so they will have to do something about it. No matter if LSU wins out or not. It will still flip everything.

Whats really crazy is this how bama has so many sec titles. They would schedule an extra sec game against vandy so they could boost conf wins.
here is just one example. bama played more conf games than every other sec team
