I will be stunned if LSU loses to UNC. It's gonna be an interesting season. This is a hard season to get a read on.

Oughta beat those guys with talent alone. Just as long as it doesn't come down to a coaching decision. Ya know, Davis vs. Miles in coaching IQ.

LSU is one of the top 10 programs in the nation. Finding another coach will not be a problem at all if you guys decide to get rid of Miles. A great coach can accomplish anything at a school like LSU.

does he get fired

The season starts in 2 weeks, we are coming off a 9-3 regular season with a Capital One bowl invite, and a Top 17 national ranking, but you want to discuss losing games and firing the the most successful coach, to this point in time, in our history??????

Talk bout doom and gloom.

Do you base your financial investments on recent preformance or historical performance? While both have value, if you begin seeing trends, up or down, you may need to make adjustments to either continue a good trend or reverse a bad trend.

The last two years, our football teams performance has been trending down. The reasons for the downward trend are three decisions made by Les Miles. Co-defivesive coordinators killed our defensive momentum, releasing Perileaux without a stable QB plan, and not vigorously defending our players\team\university on poor officiating during critical moments that defined the game outcome (2009 Alabama and Penn St. as most recent examples). Added to these three huge gaps are poor game planning and time management that has lead to national ridicule and jokes questioning our head coaches competance.

Based on the previous two years trends and most peoples expectations for this year, we should expect another year of eight or nine wins which makes us irrelevent on a national level for the third straight year. SHOULD WE EXPECT A BETTER LEVEL OF PERFORMANCE FOR $4M ANNUALLY (and that's just for the head coach)?

First, Miles will not be fired. Second, LSU will beat UNC and our defense will dominate the game. Third, LSU will win every regular season game but Fla. and then beat them in the SEC Championship game.

08:

7-5 regular season with a Peach Bowl invite, 7th in the SEC, and not ranked nationally.

09:

9-3 regular season with a Capital One Bowl invite, 3rd in the SEC, and a national ranking.

I don't see a downward trend in 09 from 08, but I do see a upward movement.

And I don't see any SEC team playing on New Years Day on national TV against Penn St for a shot at a top 10 ranking as "irrelevent" but if you want to, knock yourself out.

Fine. I'll just let the season play out and see what happens. I will not bash Miles anymore unless he gives me a reason. Sometimes i just can't help myself. Ya know?

Getting rid of RP was absolutely necessary and justified. He got more than enough chances, guy had no brain waves. Can't gripe too much when you're playin' on New Year's Day. Go get'em Les.

This will not happen. We could lose 6 games and it won't happen. Unemployment is up to 7.2% and teachers are getting fired. The university faces a huge deficit. To get a reputable coach would require $$$ which LSU doesn't have. No I don't see it happening.
We are too broke as a state and university system.
