tHE VEGAS over/ under LINE BEING 7.5 . The question has been asked many times on here of coach O. What he has to do to exceed expectations and not be fired? Well the national "experts" say it is 7.5 wins. Should that be the number that gives him a contract extension?

edit: it shouldn't be held against coach that he signed Burrows and now people are expecting more

I believe the number for any kind of an extension would be 15, as in 15-0.

So funny that les was fired for 8 wins but now that the hummer hawker was hired that’s our ceiling. I feel like I’m taking crazy pills

i mean isn't that the amount of wins that les miles got fired for? why did we bother firing him then?

Your use of capital letters is fascinating.

I don't care what the "experts" say. Now that we've added Burrow I think anything less than 9 wins is a complete failure. I'm almost tempted to put that number at 10 but I don't see us getting there.

You think he can get a contract extension not having posted a single 10 win season?

9 games. Les was fired after winning 9 games while having one of LSU's cupcakes cancelled.

Let that sink in.

Because he had to hire people to make the gumbo for recruiting functions, that’s what caused the fence around the boot to collapse IMO.

2016 8 wins
2017 9 wins
2018 <9 wins = regression = a return to a former or less developed state.

WTF do people not understand.

The entire premise is ridiculous.

If a team has a o/u win projection of 4 and they win 5, the guy deserves an extension or a pat on the back?

Nope. 10 wins or more.

Prior to Burrow, 8 wins would've exceeded expectations. Now I think 10-3 is a reasonable outcome.

Some tRanters have no idea of the issues we have on offensive line, running back, with so many new faces. Our strength is at receiver and tight end, but with no proven QB to make that work. Now Burrow gives us hope.

Good god this may be the dumbest post I’ve ever seen. So if LSU takes a step back in wins and experts are predicting a decline in LSU’s program you want to give him an extension?

Certainly not exceeding expectations at 8 wins. But I just don't think people realize just how tough our schedule is. It's absurd.

Miami
Auburn
Florida
Miss State (90% of their team returning + QB returning)
Georgia
Alabama

and then you have JF and Texas AM.

If we finish with a bowl win and 10 wins I'll be happy as a lark.

No!

We fired a guy for only getting us 10 wins a season, so I'd expect better than that.

It means that Alabama, Auburn + Troy can cheat, screw and turn LSU any ol way they please and you'll keep bending over.

Less wasn't fired for performance... or the 8-9 wins. He was fired because he was doing damage to the program by running a shitty offense, that essentially made LSU the shithole for QB's.

Why can't you people understand that?

When was the last time that a Les Miles led team have a +/- 7.5? That low ceiling is because of Orgeron as HC. This is the year that he has to prove his worth. I say playoffs or fire Orgeron.
