So the heisman goes to the the MVP of the playoff favorite, simple as that.

Nothing to do with being the best player in the country. if LSU has Henry and Alabama has Fournette, does Henry Win the heisman on an 8-3 team?

LF7 will only win if he is the best player, (stats) AND LSU is in the top 4 with a playoff birth. Book it!

The Heisman has not been legitimate for years. IT is a trophy given to the best quarterback on a winning team for years. If there is no good quarterback available, they give it to the running back on the championship favorite.

If the Heisman was ever real, why has it never been won by a lineman, linebacker, or tight end? Only one DB? give me a break.

With the advent of the playoffs, you'll rarely if ever see a winner who isn't in the playoffs.

Well said. It is a media driven popularity contest and has been for quite some time. It's not surprising Henry won this year. The media loves bama. To be fair they love LSU too and were hyping Fournette all year until the bama game and even the week after. It was LF7's to lose and he and the team lost it. A lot of it had to do with Henry and the other backs in contention having better blocking late in the season allowing them to put up better numbers in the last few games.

Henry deserved it.

I think LF deserved it too.

The Heisman is a joke. It has been for a LONG time. If he wins, I hope he doesn't attend.

He bested Herschel Walker's Heisman season in yards per carry and his two weakest games were when he was pulled very early in two rent a wins. He led the nation in scoring and tied the SEC record for touchdowns. He averaged 144.4 yards per game with 15 TDs against the eight rushing defenses he has faced ranked in the top 50 nationally and averaged 105.3 yards per game after contact, which represents 69 percent of his rushing yards

Yeah, he sucked this year. The Doak Walker, Campbell, and Maxwell folks are all frauds as well.

Fournette is a better all around back than Henry and will greatly impact his team in the NFL more then Henry can ever hope to do. But in 2015, Henry earned his Heisman.
