Not no, but hell no!!!!!!!!!!!

I would wager Specs1 NEVER asked that JJ be given a chance to play last year.

You said the magic word...PLAY. Not START but PLAY. What if Lee or Shep just PLAYS to see if the offense responds a little better? If not, put JJ back in. Would that be a capastrophic event?

ANY OF THESE GUYS GET BENCHED YET
1. TERRELLE PRYOR - OHIO STATE (2 PICKS)
2. LANDRY JONES -OKLAHOMA (2 PICKS)
3. TODD - AUBURN (JUST BAD)
4. SNEAD - OLE MISS (3 PICKS -ALABAMA)
5. THE LIST GOES ON

None of those guys have viable backups with any game experience at all. And Landry Jones IS the backup on his team.

Really? The ONLY thing wrong with this offense is QB play?

Play, smlay, blay, whatever, Specs1 did not ask that JJ do either, if it was related to playing QB for LSU.

Now as for my thoughts on JL being given a series or two per game, I am on record for believing that is not a bad idea. I believe the backup QB should receive playing time. It is the reasonable thing to do to prepare your backup in case you need him. I did not believe they played RP enough nor let him pass enough. His performance in the SECCG was despite how he was used up to that point. After his great game against Middle Tenn, he was allowed to pass less than 10 times before the SECCG. It's strange but it seems that when a player does great, he is forgotten and not used again.

[CS against KY, KW after VTech, TT after Wash, KW after first few games this year, Dixon, RS, etc.]

I believe JL should receive a series or two per game. I also believe we should run the real wildcat with RS as QB a couple of series per game with RS throwing a couple of times a game out of the wildcat.

I've thought that JLee should have remained the starter after recovering from injury. That is not a slight to Jefferson. I just don't like the running qb or spread type offense. I've always thought that pay our dues w/ Lee in '08 and get rewarded in '09 through '11. They invested the time in Lee and he had some brilliant moments and some big mistakes. We still do not know whether that investment would pay off because we have not seen him. We do know that on the few times he has entered the game this year, a pass play was called.

I've laid this out before, but will do so again. Take USC's offense, Palmer, Leinart, Cassel (never even played) now Sanchez and Booty all in NFL. Their offense never changes. They have a Pro Style QB, Pro Caliber Recievers and Pro Caliber backs. Well we have the recievers and the backs, but we can't decide which offense to run.

Look at rivals.com. Look at top 10 prospects for NFL style and top 10 prospects for dual threat. Note the schools that are recruiting each. Pretty obvious which list you'd rather be on.

It's not about Jefferson/Lee for me. It's about the type of QB. If a QB is a runner and gives you yards on the ground, well I guess that's good. But a good game for a running qb is 100 yds. rushing and maybe 150 passing. Well a good game for a passing qb is 300 passing, 0 rushing, with future NFL backs and future NFL recievers joining in the action. If your qb is running the ball, that means Scott, Williams, Toliver, Lafell, Holiday, Ridley, or Randle are not carrying the ball.

No I was saying that Lee is a future NFL qb. Let him get the experience this year and it will pay off. I judge all college qb's by how their game would fit in the NFL. That's why I'm not a fan of the spread.

Even though I don't want to see Lee starting, I agree with this, doesn't it make last year feel like such a waste!

Do you think our running game will improve with Lee at QB-NATA. The problem lies with the O_LINE.

you are an idiot!

I have posted for some change during the game and possibly putting him in so that if JJ is not firing on all cylinders then at least JL might get the ball moving.

How can anyone suggest that any one player will all of a sudden cause our team to go undefeated. WOW! I bet you were suggesting last year to get rid of JL due to the pick 6 issues

neither of the two QBs will have alot of success without a running game to help balance out the offense so our O-Line needs serious improvement

killer tiger nailed it..

lee would turn 18 sacks into 18 picks trying to force it.

not much we can do until the line tightens up and the play calling gets better.
