Which is why I think once we get a guy at OC who PLAYS athletes, we shall see a new team - LaFell, Scott, Keiland, whoever gone.

I have noticed that the Miles bashers have an amazing ability to see into the future.

the miles bashers really haven't been wrong

he's done just what the non-crazy bashers have expected

and don't bring up 2007. we lost 2 games to unranked opponents

Yeah, Alexander and Woods will be hard to replace. C'mon.

I think after Les leaves a lot of people will realize that he is a better coach then what he gets credit for.

You mean, after Miami, Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Virginia Tech, Arizona, anything's possible?

Or do those games not count because they were all blowouts and UNC >>> any of those crappy teams? Plus we actually had our starting quarterback in those games (except Miami). Latech is a MUCH better game to use as an example than all those other ones when we had multiple weeks to prepare and what not.

will there be people longing for miles 5 years after he leaves the program

If he goes 9-3 next year, we fire him prematurely, and then if the next guy falls on his face for some reason...then yes, I think the attitude on Miles would be different.

think about this

teh guys playing next year weren't good enough to unseat woods and alexander

plus unless montgomery blows up (physically and in terms of play), we won't have any guy who can rush the passer

Nevis? Agheyere? Edwards? They'll get better and yes, I expect to see Sam out there a bunch. Alexander could have been great had he stayed healthy. Woods...well...I can't explain that one. The 5 stars just stuck with him.

Nevis?

DT. hard to pass rush at DT

Agheyere?

should be playing DT. no explosiveness

Edwards?

could be, but he's 290 or so. he's not a speed rusher

Woods...well...I can't explain that one.

wrong system

We have had plenty of good pass-rushing DT's...Nevis can be one of them. They'll make damn sure he tries to be in off season.

We have no idea what goes on at practice to know if the young guys were better, but we do know that Miles has been historically, to-a-fault loyal to his upper classman. However, I'm a believer that coaches want to win, and will play the guys that give them the best chance to win. None us will really know until next year.

i think chauncey moves to DT, b/c who else do we have at DT other than those 3 i intiailly mentioned (2 of whom will be 2nd year players)?

Almost left that out because I KNEW that would be the only thing you'd mention rather than the actual post itself. Shocking.

And yes I'm comparing a 6-6 Arizona team to the 2010 UNC team that just lost to NC State and Virginia. Huge stretch huh?
