I don’t care what you idiots say, Kelly made the wrong decision.
These are all opinions, with next to nothing to back them up with.
Here are some facts.
LSU went into the final week of the season having already won the SEC West and were firmly in a spot to make the playoffs. All with Daniels as the starting QB. At a point, late in the season, Daniels had the fifth best odds to win the Heisman. Daniels had over 200 yards passing in the first half.
You are calling people dumb for wanting to throw that all away this season for some fantasy national title next year.

He looked ready to me. You have no idea what he is capable of. As for the turnovers, he has started one fricking game in his career.
Really? Please name that game, because I must have slept through it.
Hint: He did not start the Arky game in 2021.

Lol garbage time the entire second half? Lmao. You can't be that stupid. The first team was in until 4 minutes left.

Kinda like doing that to Jarrett Lee before he was ready? Smart move genius.
Also you all would be whining about a 7-5 season if BK had done that…”we paid $100 million for 7-5?!” Don’t deny it. You would’ve. Now please shut up.

Nuss looked ready to me yesterday. Wtf you talking about ?
He looked eager to compete and showed his throwing arm and vision are above average.
His lack of playing time bit him twice, but that's on BK. There quite a few times where Nuss could have gotten some valuable experience but for whatever reason BK balked.
JD should have been the starter, but Nuss should have gotten more PT, if for no other reason than to have him ready when the inevitable happens to a running QB.

The same people that gave JD5 100000000 excuses throughout the year (bc he’s so good at QB against southern UAB and NM state) (65.5% QBR in SEC play) will destroy a REDSHIRT FRESHMAN who was unprepared and just thrown to the wolves in a game against arkanasas in 2021 and literally threw interceptions in the second career game of his college career. (Again didn’t start and they just tossed him in a game while he was trying to make big plays to prove he could be the QB1)

quote:Well JD threw 10 TDs and 10 INT last year. I think 30/20 is better. What you think?
Nuss throws 30 TD and 20 INT if he plays the whole year

You have to look at this from BK viewpoint. We have to know that BK wanted to win as much as he possibly could in his first year. First impression for the fans was crucial in his mind. Hard to blame him for that. Now that he has overachieved, I hope he knows that he has a chance starting in the bowl game to begin preparation for national status, which is what he said he came to LSU to achieve. He will not win that with JD next year, and if JD is the QB in the bowl game and next year, BK is postponing that for several more years, because our QB room will be upset. The only way around that is to get a Burrow type QB in the portal every other year. Maybe BK has his eyes on the ND qb that is in the portal and obviously played for/recruited by BK at ND, and he has 3 years of eligibility left. Of course LSU loses Nuss and possibly Howard, which would be a shame imo, but the portal has changed the entire dynamics of recruiting and building a team upside down. I hope JD has played his last game for LSU. Not that I don't like the kid, I do, but he will never win anything going forward with his skill set. It has to be Nuss/Howard in bowl game and next year unless we find another Burrow in portal. Future is now!

I like his progression, but he still has alot of work to do. For instance, on the INT, if he moves that safety out of the play, it's a one on one ball. The receiver gets it, or it's incomplete. It looked like he was just slinging it, so I really can't tell, but how well can he read what the defense is doing? Can he spot an open rusher and move protection? JD has the legs to make that a 50/50 play. Nuss makes that a 50/50 fumble.
