I'm not. I like Saban's defenses too, but I can acknowledge the strength of our defenses in Pelini's first 2 years here. You can't.

I want the defense that allows the fewest points. I don't care what scheme or who the coordinator is. I don't care if it's a 4-3, 3-4, 50 defense, 46, 6-2, 44-stack or whatever. I don't care if the coordinator is Saban, Brother Bill Muschamp, Pelini, Tubs, Buddy Ryan, Joe Kines, Parcells, or Jerry Glanville.

I think a lot of LSU fans(most never attended let alone graduated, don't want to see a Black QB at LSU be successful. Instead they over hype much less talented white QBs(MF and the other QB when we won the NC, even those they were the beneficaries of great overall team talent that compensated for those two guys shortcomings.

Its that old southern stereotype that a Black QB isn't smart enough to play QB at a major university. In 2000 it whould seem that those vistages of racism would have faded a little bit. Omigosh I used that dreaded word "racism".
By the way I got my taste of it at LSU first hand, attending LSU 1976-71.

Of course LSU would have won the NC if JR had been QB. They probably would not have backed into it.

I pledge my allegiance to coach Miles and co. even if he does come off as a retard at times.

He is indeed a proud Sabanista. LSU will never be any good post the 2005 Cap One Bowl. Any successes were luck or due to the amazing talent Saban left behind with All-Stars galore who of course have made immediate impact in the NFL and were all-Pro or all-Rookie since Miles and his staff did nothing with them after Saban left.

does a large segment of LSU fans continue to dislike him?

JR for the most part has been a solid rep of LSU, RD on the other hand is a convicted thief. JR and RD arent even in the same category.

JR- Solid LSU rep, but NOT on the sideline of the 2007 NC game. Well on the way to blowing his NFL career.

RD- Great Senior year at LSU. (Thanks to #25) Convicted thief that didn't have enough between the ears to read defenses in the NFL.........

The question is nonsensical since it presupposes a fictitious large segment of LSU fans who currently dislike JaMarcus. Since no such large segment exists, the question is incoherent.
