So a good performance by an upperclassman QB is certain failure 8 months from now.
However, a poor performance which somehow ushers in a Soph QB that has never played a down of real college football, nor has been seen by said poster (except JLee like spring game performance), is a positive. NICE.
Retarded, but nice.

While I agree with everything you posted, the irony was too funny to not point out!
ETA - I'd be more interested in JJ showing up rather than out. Just me.

I have a feeling that game will depend on if Chavis figures out how to stop a spread offense between January 8 and next September.
This. My guess is he'll be watching film of how Saban has attacked the spread offense and produced good results.

For whatever reason, Coach Miles seems VERY loyal to all his players, and inextricably linked to JJ. Remember in the past, JJ has done better with time to prepare for one opponent, so I would expect him to play fairly well in the Cotton Bowl, unless aTm really makes a major shift in the way they do things.
This will then tighten the bond between Coach Miles and JJ. I wouldn't expect Mettenberger to even sniff game action unless Jefferson is hurt or it's a pure blow-out.
