i just think that once jj was gone lee could play a bit more relaxed. No pressure of being taken out. and if JJ came back i'd be worried that it'd put the pressure back on lee.

That pressure isn't shite compared to the Alabama defense. If he folds because of that, his arse needs to be benched.

You guys are trying to support Lee unconditionally, but you are basically calling him a pussy and a flake in doing so. I tend to think he has matured and will let his play speak for itself.

No, not at all.... in fact I think Lee is such a good person, he will be glad JJ is back on the team and get to be a part of whats happening... Lee has already demonstrated his character by all he has been through and overcome... Lee will continue to do the same thing he has been doing, showing up and working hard..... letting the rest take care of itself, (its worked out so far!)

Thank you. We're seeing Lee ninja up this year and people are trying to coddle some frail ego that may or may not exist.

I think it's more likely that JJ's return and failure to start will divide the locker room rather than shake Lee.

Nah. I bet if you poll the receivers they would like what they are getting from Lee and support him and the improving passing game. All the receivers should have complete focus on making receptions like OB is doing.

Players and fans should want JJ back as an injury fallback if nothing else.

at first, this situation looks complicated but the more i look at it the simpler it becomes. JJ needs to be a team player, like JL has been, and support his team and his teammate. if he does, things might be a bit awkward but they will work out. if he doesn't, its coach miles responsibility to protect this team; one player is not bigger than the team and if anyone has proven that, its Jarret Lee. the situation is unfortunate (esp from JJ and his families eyes) but the young man could have done time. if i were him, i would try to make this a redshirt year and take my chances on beating out Mett next year.

I'd be more concerned with JJ'a ego on the side lines

There are players on the team other than the receivers, but I agree with you. As for the receivers, if they have half a brain they will realize that Lee stands the best chance of helping them improve their draft status.

Why? You don't think Miles would take care of any issues, even if it meant having to get rid of him if he can't be a team player?

Miles has protected JJ through thick and thin. He spoke publicly in glowing terms when JJ was at his worst last year so I doubt a little pouting will draw much of Mile's ire.

say he pouts. ok, then what? are his friends on the team gonna run up to him and ask him what's wrong, and how can they help?

"you want us to sabotage Lee for you, Jordan?" yeah, they'll start dropping passes, not blocking, or playing soft on D. hurt their chances at championships and NFL status all to stop JJ's pouting.

the leaders on the team won't allow this to be a distraction, IF JJ even acts like some of you fear he will.

First off, what would he have to pout about if he's not playing and secondly, pouting?

I'm talking about being a detriment to the team not his own face.

Miles will let the team deal with it.

I can see it now. Ten seconds left, tie score, Bryant Denny Stadium is deafenening with the roar of the crowd. Lee drops back to pass, sees Randle streaking wide open down the corner of the field. Then he spies, through his peripheral vision, Jefferson standing on the sideline, pouting. Lee immediately panics, loses all faith in humanity, and throws it to the nearest defender because he simply can't bear the thought of Jefferson pouting. Pick six.

It really makes me wonder, why protect him? He's not that good of a QB. Last year when he was put on the sidelines for a few series, he pouted like a little bitch. Is that a "leader"? If the boy can't earn his standing, let him crash. The world needs ditchdiggers, too.

Are you advocating that HC's shouldn't act like they care about their players? I thought this was suppose to be one of the better qualities of LM.
