People forget that Hill was running behind L Collins. Hilliard was running behind nobody of note.
Not to mention Hillard got hurt in the first half and didn't play but 1 snap in the second. Never mind the long TD run that got called back on penalty. He finished with what, 98 yards a 2 TD's I think. Hill had a huge game, but Kenny was having a huge night as well. Glad both guys are Tigers!!!!!!!!!!

I had a friend who was on the staff at RHS and remeber asking him about Hill and Collins when they were seniors. He praised Collins and had high hopes for him. Hill on the thee hand, he said he would never see the field at LSU and end up transferring. Said he wasn't an SEC caliber back. Take it for what it's worth.

That's bullshite!
As for moving Blue to WR, that's a bad move. Leave him at RB so LSU can continue to have the best RB corp in the nation

watched him play against hilliard in h.s. and there was no comparison. hilliard was way better
In HS it was even, But Hilliard has improved his game in college. We will see about Hill. Anyway for next year we are packed with Hester types.

Come on. That was anything but a crazy statement.
You are wrong if you think it was clear cut that Hill was the better prospect out of highschool.

Really? I remember a lot of people thinking that Hilliard was better, and that Hill benefitted greatly from having Collins block for him. Didn't Hilliard break the LA high school rushing record and win some kind of national player of the year award as either a soph of junior?

Both are elite running backs! I started a thread a while back about moving Blue to the slot. At times it would be like 2 great running backs in the same back field and when he goes out in the flat or down field he could present match-up problems for linebackers or safetys. But let's be realistic here. We have a Big 10 coach wanting to dictate the offense. Shep has been there 3 years and they still haven't figured out a way to take advantage of his talents and wasted the back half of RR jr. year.

I went to RHS and I agree. The defensive size difference Hill will see in college will add to his fumbling mishaps. I also hope Les can hammer some self-control and teamwork values into his head.

LSU will have the best RB corp in the country with or without Blue at RB. I think it'd be a good move to turn him into one of those Josh Reed hybrid WRs. He's got the build and the speed to do it. Whether it happens is a different story. But, the RBs will be beast even without him.

Over/under on the number of times that TV and radio announcers confuse Hill and Hilliard?

Can we call Hill & Hilliard the Smash Bros

The needs more touches per game and he could get that at WR position.
If we need Blue to play WR we are screwed.

If Hillard, Blue, Ford, Ware are that good, then let Hill redshirt.
Done.
Done.
