LSU was a team of destiny last yr . No doubt . But dont act like OSU doesnt put out great defenses . Our 2002 defense shut down probably one of the 3 best teams in the history of college football in Miami ( remember McGahee, Dorsey, Andre Johnson, Winslow, etc. etc ,etcetra.) And in 2014 , Zeke Elliott and the boys were not getting beat by anyone once they rolled Wisconsin 59-0 . NIck Sabin is still sore from the plunger from that semi-final, then we ran circles around Mariotta and the supposed best offense in the country .

If the “stupid argument is outdated”, then don’t participate! It’s that simple! My point is there are too many assholes on here. There’s just no reason for that. If you don’t like the topic, move on to one you do. I’m not arguing whether he’s right or not. I’ve lived in Ohio for 46 years now, and the vast majority of my friends here disagree with his take. I personally think it would have been a better game than Clemson. And by the way, it’s impossible to count the number of times someone on here has said the better team doesn’t always win, which is true. I think tOSU WAS better than Clemson. They just didn’t play better that day. Sucks for them. They would not have beat LSU tho. I can’t stand the Buckeyes btw, but whether anyone wants to admit it or not, they have one hell of a program. They ARE the B1G. Also, I’ve been to games at Wisconsin, OSU, Mich and a few othe B1G schools. Wisconsin is fun, but doesn’t compare to Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night at all. None of them do.

None of those teams or stadiums or experiences are relevant. Big Ten is nowhere near what it used to be or what its cracked up to be.

I'm not making excuses for the Mississippi State game, but we literally lost 95% of our starters from the best team ever assembled. Had limited practice time, and completely switched defensive coaches and moved our scheme from a 3-4 to 4-3. The least any team has ever returned after a national championship was Auburn with 8 starters coming back the next season. Our starting RT Deculus, JaCoby Stevens and WR Marshall may have been the only returning starters playing from last year's team against Miss State. No excuse, but I understand some of the circumstances that are surrounding the game. Literally had no tuneups and only had 2 scrimmages to really test out concepts and work on gameplans. And the throws and schemes were there Brennan just needs to grow and throw the ball and get comfortable, we left a ton and I do mean a ton of points on the board. Could have been LSU 56 - 44.

If you ever compare Penn State and Wisconsin to stepping into a game at Auburn or Alabama or now Texas A&M and Florida. Have you seriously lost your mind? We would go to Penn State in a heartbeat. Have some heaters on the benches and be fine. Step foot into the Swamp on a 97-degree day with 80% humidity. I'm done having this argument with you Big Ten fanatics. The conference and the stadium experiences are nowhere near the SEC and all the teams I mentioned I hated with a passion, but I will gladly defend them knowing that the SEC is the greatest conference in the world.

Agree .I rank Tiger Stadium at night as #1 place in the country . And If I were at Ohio State and had carte blanche id reconfigure that field to be as close to the field as legally possible and then it would be a true nightmare for any team night or day . Im not a huge OSU honk , Im an OU Bobcat . Athens,Ohio ,Joe Burrow and bongs .

Most of OSU key players are from warm weather states so dont throw the heat thing at out . OSU WR's are all mostly from Fla,California ,Texas and couple of Ohio sprinkled in . Elliott is from missouri ,Dobbins from Texas . ...Lets just cut back to the point ..OSU got robbed last yr and that beat down LSU laid on Clemson was karma for the gift they were given to even playing in the NC

I spent a lot of time in the early 90’s partying in Athens with my buddies who went there. Used to have the best Halloween party! 40-50k people getting stupid! Good times! Don’t know if they still do that.

Or don't start the argument. I'll continue to argue until that guy realizes how stupid what he is saying sounds. I'm trying to him as an individual. If he's going to be prepared to start the argument, then he needs to be prepared to go toe-to-toe. I've had these arguments before for hours on end with people in YouTube comment sections, in public, on other forums. I'm not trying to be harsh, but it's such a mundane point the what-ifs. What if Texas A&M would not have cheated and LSU wins the game in regulation before going into 7 OTs? What if the refs call holding on Alabama when 3 of their players held on the Jalen Hurt's run when the game was 0-0? What if the touchdown against Auburn on the last second of the game gets called and Les Miles doesn't get fired? Losing hurts, we get it. The best teams find a way to honestly win through their level of play.

I am great friends with numerous Ohio State and Clemson fans. They have known to respect LSU and have always seen LSU as a blueblood and have noted the issue that our fanbase has noted as well. If LSU were to ever accrue a modern offense, we would be unstoppable (just from the sheer athletes and talent we get) and last year proved that in the most dominating fashion. It was if we were purging ourselves of a decade of putridness and disappointment.

Dude, you’re in the “stone ages” if you’re still blaming refs for costing you a game! That’s not why the Bucks lost! Every game ever played has bad calls in them. You get over that and keep playing. They just got out played mid way thru the 2nd until the end of the game. That’s why they lost. You’ll fit in nicely with this bunch of you keep using excuses like that!! Still, no reason for anyone to be an arse over this topic.

I’m not disagreeing with your points. I actually agree with most of them. Again, my whole point is why can’t everyone just talk football without being an arse? Good natured ribbing is one thing, but you have to admit, that’s NOT what happens on the rant most of the time. Just stupid people being asses way too much and it’s unnecessary. And again, if someone doesn’t like the topic, just don’t read it! That’s my point.

No, I do not feel that OSU was robbed. I will not agree with you on that point. Teams that should win get robbed when they lose. Clemson became the better team through the course of that game. And it became obvious when they scored 21 unanswered points. You guys got the ball back after the uncalled fumble play and did not score. You had a chance to put the same points up on the board but did not. You did not take advantage of the opportunity given and you guys ultimately lost the game and your QB threw 2 picks. Clemson won the game, Trevor Lawrence and Etienne gashed the defense with 2 huge TD runs and the pass to Higgins for the lead was the dagger. Somehow everyone in the country knew the game was over except for the OSU fans. It felt like you guys had nothing left in the tank when the going got tough and all that hype did not help you fight back from being down.

Clemson scored on us early and we quickly became down after a string of tough field positions. Then we fought back as champs would and we scored time after time after time and our defense made play after play when it mattered the most.

You guys may have the better athletes, but you guys did not have the want to and fight because it got beat out of you. So no you guys did not deserve to win the game. It hurts to accept I'm sure.

Well one thing we do know is LSU is not going to be in the final four .. so we mise well talk about OSU ,Bama, Clemson and who will be the 4th .... I say look out for ND to sneak in . LSU probably Outback Bowl or Poinsetta Bowl . Its a rebuild yr for my Tigers . I am not mad .

You never know. The type of loss we suffered to Miss State, might ignite a fire we need to win out. Crazier things have happened. And Alabama and Clemson are no longer sure-fire teams. With the emergence of Miami, North Carolina, and Notre Dame playing in the ACC this year, Clemson may have some quality battles. Alabama did not look like world-beaters in their opener. And a 10 game schedule of SEC opponents, is bound to test the depth. Hopefully, every team can stay away from the injury bug that the NFL is experiencing (guys always get hurt in the NFL, but generally not to this magnitude of high-profile starters).

Every team is affected by COVID restrictions, so OSU may fall prey to the same issues that hit us and Oklahoma going into the season. They may stumble a sure-win game this season.

Only thing stopping OSU this year is Covid rearing its ugly head ...oh and maybe refs like last time ... OSU is L O A D E D.... best offense they have had in 30 yrs what i was told . And thats saying alot ... with Trey Sermon and Master Teague behind Fields and best set or WR s in the country . BUT , I agree with Bama not looking good and LSU still has a shot ..Clemson will ROLL miami and unc .. Miami is a fugazi
ND is the X factor , but they will slip up just like always .
