I'm not worried about coaching mistakes. I'm worried about player mistakes.

I can accept effort mistakes. That's going to happen during the course of a hard fought game. I just can't accept mental mistakes.

That's part of it. No different. CBK will not have them unprepared. They'll be disciplined.

Of course… that is vital to any game but especially the first game in front of the country. It also really depends on the timing of the mistakes that can hurt the teams chances. If we are up 17-10 and driving at the end of the first half at the 50 yard line with 2 seconds left and we throw up a pass that is intercepted in the end zone and make the tackle we’d be -1 in TO’s but it didn’t affect the game.

I think we’ll be fine. It’ll be a lot of misdirection plays, running the ball and PA to one side or the other to get our players in space. I’m looking forward to finally seeing LSU be able to actually run a screen play that works. Denbrock will dial these plays up at the right time, allowing our OL to get in front of the WR or RB and giving them lots of open space to run.

We also have the talent to run a conventional offense and still be successful. I think he will mix in both a conventional style of offense with your misdirection and moving of players all over the field. Even our conventional style will have players moving around a little. I hope we use Mason Taylor as a key to this game plan against FSU because it will add a physical element that I’m not so sure FSU will be ready for.

They played one game against no one and already have players bruised up and hurt. We might see players dropping during this game. I would like them to establish our physical dominance from the start of this game and make FSU question themselves. Then turn up the pressure by moving our players all over the field and just overwhelm them. Go straight at them to start the game with a conventional style, see if they can even handle that and then start getting creative no matter how they respond. I don’t want us to keep it conservative or conventional even if we convince the players that they are overmatched.
