but the 7 - 6 picks were JL's fault last season?

it partly the players fault if they were great H.S. QB's on quality teams and they can't find someone to help them or use their own initiative to improve their physical tools. but GC and LM are partially at fault as well. but JJ will not sniff the NFL as a starter ever. Look at JR with the Raiders........duh!!!!!!

Lee's ints last year were because of a few things:

1) Crowton kept insisting on making him throw the ball over the middle when he clearly had trouble seeing that part of the field. That's why most of his picks were by LBs.

2) Lee would try to make a play with his arm when he should have tried to make one with his feet. The kid just has cinder blocks for feet.

The issue is NOT talent. Our issue is development of that talent. Thanks for NOTHING, Crowton.

Do you see JJ quarterbacking in the NFL?

We are not talking about the pros. I don't see Tim Tebow making it in the pros as a quarterback.

Yeah that Barkley kid sure was good.

you must be getting college confused with the pros. JJ is plenty good enough to be a very good QB and preside over a championship team. i wish folks would quit blaming him for every ill the offense had when the real blame is no running game (no friggin' perimeter blocking either), the play coming in too late to execute (or audible out of) and our offensive game plan being designed for another team than the one on the field. i STRONGLY dispute your comparisons with all these whiz freshmen out there.

The Negatiger want to pretend Saban or Meyer could have takene J.J. and won their respective SEC Divisons-B.S.

Give Crowton Baby Jesus for four years or even Greg McElroy who beat out four other Bama QBs, and we beat both Florida and Bama this year.

he's accurate enough. the biggest areas he needs to improve on are field vision and time mgt. a lot of the time mgt is how friggn' long it seems to take to get the plays in to him. i really think JJ is comparable or better than jacoby harris of miami and most sec QB's that have similar experience or time in the system.

+1
With this OL, and these coaches, I think he did pretty well.

+1...except I am not sure about his feet.

he is not the same type of QB as JJ and he runs when forced, which means he runs at the last moment (more vulnerable to be caught), where JJ runs ASAP and can get a head start..

Also, on at least a couple of occasions, I saw where the receiver did not catch the ball and instead of keeping the opponent from catching it, he just starting bitching..even if at himself.
...the second part of a receivers job is to prevent the opponent from catching the ball.

I have always felt like EACH brings something different to the team, but neither has really received any training.

JL has a sweet deep ball to the outside, where JJ is a straight line shot.

I would love to see an old timer, if nothing else to come and show some pointers and DOs-DON'Ts to both of them.

I always thought a weekend clinic with FORMER QBs, hell even Terry Bradshaw, could do a lot for them.

I have never seen a QB this incapable of throwing the bubble, swing, and screen passes. If he could occasionally make these throws it would be much easier to move the ball, since we obviously can't run the ball the conventional way.

Remember the awesome swing pass Lee made in the first half of the '08 AU game.

We've seen a handful of screen passes. Piss poor example.

Biglego,

Yet you are probably one of the loudest critics of JL. Bottom line is the thug known as Perrilloux set us back as neither of these guys were ready to play. I just don't think that Jefferson showed any improvement as the year went on in terms of his ability to make good decisions.

I do, but I also remember the rest of the year and the tech game this year, lee is not the answer. JJ will be fine if he starts to make those throws consistently and his game awareness can't get any worse and hopefully it will start to improve. With that said, it is hard to coach concentration and intelligence which seen to be his biggest problems.

How do you evaluate say R. Mallet or J. Snead. These are supposedly the upper tier qb's in the SEC right?

This solution is pretty simple. Les Miles has gotten so far away from a championship winning formula it is not even funny. How about this. Play really good defense. Have a solid offensive line with a great running game. After these things happen watch what happens to your quarterback. Jefferson would look like a different QB.

Ok....the qbs have talent. They wouldnt have been recruited if they didnt. The problem is no qbs we have "have it" . We say this shite every year, hate to tell you, but we are recruiting 1 qb this year. JJ will start next year.

NO, but the rest of the entire team is solid....especially on D and the offensive line, and that heisman winner they have.

Questionable. IMO he was better in last year's bowl game with a couple of games of experience than Friday with an entire season under his belt.

played fine in the bowl game

We must not have been watching the same game. Had a couple of good drives, other than that, he was just not very good. The entire first half he spent throwing at everyone's feet. Even on the TT muff/interception TT was on one knee trying to scoop it up.
