ESPN is a juggernaut... but the only thing i wouldn't really care for (about them getting a deal with teh BCS) would be them broadcasting games that some people wouldn't be able to see

ESPN is so hypocritical. They love to bash the BCS, yet here they are trying to buy the rights to all the BCS games. Hmmm. Makes you wonder if they are biased after all. Seems their love fest for USC and the Rose Bowl was mainly because they (ABC/ESPN) owned the rights. Let's see if they bash the BCS once they own all the rights. I don't remember Fox bashing the Rose Bowl and it's participants while they owned the other BCS game rights.

Biased towards the SEC? They are paying the SEC $2.25 BILLION over the next 15 years.

They were paying the SEC before this new contract and yet they were bashing the BCS then too.

The best way for any company to control their market is to buy out the competition. But now that ESPN will own the rights to all BCS games, maybe, just maybe, we won't hear as much bashing of it. But then again, ESPN stands to gain even more control and money if a playoff were instituted for FBS.

It's never good for one network, or business for that matter, to control such a large portion of television rights of a league.

You do realize the polls have favored LSU over USC the past few seasons right?

That's because LSU only loses games that are tough. They don't lose games they are supposed to win

Please. If you don't have satellite/cable,you don't care about watching TV anyway. That's pretty lame.

Bashing the BCS is a good thing. Dissent is the fastest way to get to a college football playoff.

I fail to understand anyone's concern about ESPN potentially broadcasting the BCS bowls. Must be this ESPN hates LSU thing.

i.e. Appalachian St., and North Texas. As opposed to USC's loss to Oregon St. Plus, keep in mind we are only talking about the past few seasons

Right, as in the games LSU lost last season that they were supposed to win. One should say LSU does not lose games they are supposed to win, when n fact, they do--and not expect tp be called out on it.

only if I am somewhere without cable becasue they are not going to utilize ABC in their gameday broadcasts. All of the BCS games will be availible on cable only. They will be promoting the hell out of the games on ABC but not showing them there. These will be the first major championships not to be on "free" TV.

2 things here... as I recall we weren't favored by 30 or 40 points in those games... secondly.. Ar-Kansas and Kentucy are SEC schools, not in the Pathetic Athletic Conference.
