I posted this a few weeks ago but that thread is anchored. Seems appropriate now:

O and his propaganda machine can't help it. They have to blame everyone but Ed Orgeron if things go south. It's never Ed's fault is it? What happens if Ensminger is named OC and the offense sputters? Who are Ed & Fat Goebbels gonna blame? It sure as shite better not be Ensminger. Ensminger is a real Tiger. He didn't quit and transfer when he had to share time with David Woodly. Some people do that kind shite: quit teams because they get mad about maybe switching positions or thinking they won't get playing time. Not Ensminger, he stuck around because he really loves LSU.
We need to pass a Rant law if it does happen to be Ensminger. No matter what: success is all Steve, failure is on O.

This is Ensminger's retirement package - plain and simple. Good news for him is that LSU in football is no longer pushing for conference titles and hopes of national championships. Ala. stands alone in the SEC West. Everyone should accept this now after watching them somehow beat a very, very good Georgia team w freshmen players that will be great w playing time at key positions. LSU will be competitive per usual but that's about it - sadly.....
Geaux Tigers and good luck Big "E." Coach 'em up!

All I can say about SE being the OC is, it was actually fun to watch the offense again last year while E was OC. Picking up huge chunks of yards/play and scoring lots of points (except Bama and nobody hardly ever scores a lot on Bama). O-line will be good, rb's will be solid, wr's lack experience but have lots of potential and qb's have the most talent we've had since Russell and Flynn were at LSU.

Define what you consider "fine"? And why hasn't someone, including all the churn LSU has been through, made him an OC since he was last fired 20 years ago? Are you one of those happy with 7-9 wins per year? We won 9 games this year with the SEC almost historically bad. Happy with the record being worse next year when the schedule is tougher?

Settling for being "fine" is the problem. This administration is happy with mediocrity and average bowl games. Should have kept Les, it would have been cheaper and at least he had a successful record as a HC unlike the bozo we've got now.

Look say what you want. When he was promoted at Georgia he brought their offense from what was close to the 100's to #9 with Eric Zeier. Some say he was the first to implement the spread offense in college football.

You don't just forget how to call offensive plays. Steve is an extremely smart football coach and quite frankly he is one of our own! Give the man a damn chance! If he fails along with Coach O then that is fine, they all need to go!

You guys are going completely off the rails with this shite. Again, he it all doesn't work out, then that is that. All of the NegiTigers get their wish! LSU will be fine, with or without Coach O and Steve Ensminger no matter how this plays out!

So is Ed O - or so I'm told.

So was Jerry Stovall.

Love that he's a former Tiger player. Not sure that is the valid criteria to use or justify a hire.
