Y'all always say this nonsense.

In the typical primary for either party, usually around 9% of registered voters actually bother to drive to a polling place and vote.

Voter turnout is around 5-6 times higher for general mid-term elections and 7-8 times higher for a presidential general election.

Usually the candidate in the primary election with the greater name recognition wins (or loses, if the more well known candidate has bad press for some reason or another).

They're not running against a Democrat (or Republican, if we're talking about a Democratic primary race), which alone changes the race exponentially. Particularly in a presidential race in which the "moderates" who go all the way up to election week without having decided who they are voting for actually decide the whole thing while the rest of us just cancel out the votes from the base of the other side.

They are completely different processes.

In short, reasoning that, "X candidate couldn't win the primary, therefore they wouldn't have been able to win a general election" when the two elections are different like apples and oranges is like saying, "If Dieon Sanders couldn't lead his team to a win on 'Celebrity Family Feud,' there's no way he can successfully coach the Colorado football team."

The two have less to do with each other than they have similarities between them.
