Have to give you the award for the most clever way to start an O-bashing thread for today. Was that intentional or did you really not realize that you were starting a thread about Aranda and shifting the focus to O in the second sentence of the first post?

I do look at what he’s done as proof in concept: it’s called Troy and Miss St, Florida 2016. He has a history of screwing up and shows me he hasn’t changed.
But to my post, Aranda will leave. So again, I pose the question for this year so it’s easier for people to project an outcome, rather than trying to project two years down the road... I think the question will have to be answered sooner or later, so why not now? Why not answer the question, or in all due respect, GTFO

My question still stands. Unless Aranda becomes LSU’s next coach, he will go be a HC somewhere. Do you have confidence that CEO will make a good hire and if he doesn’t, do you have confidence he would be able to make up the difference?

Sounds like you have lol. Seriously, how well do you believe CEO does without Aranda. Unless he becomes LSU’s HC, he will be someone else’s HC. So why not answer a question that is highly likely to happen in the near future

I believe it is, but truly I used this season due to multiple reasons. 1) Without paying him a buttload of money we would’ve lost him 2) it’s easier to project now than 2-3 years down the road
Having said that, do we have enough confidence in CEO making a good hire whether it’s this year or down the line? There’s a reason we paid a lot for Aranda and I believe it’s for multiple reasons. Besides being one of the best in his field, it is also a reflection of lack of confidence in the HC IMO

I wasn’t assuming any of that. My apologies if it appeared that way. For clarification, I believe Aranda’s defense will be the driver behind our record. Guessing 9-3 or 10-2, should the offense be efficient and not give up too many turnovers. I just think Aranda is so vital to the success of LSU for this year, regardless of who makes the calls, alghouhh I do recall CEO saying the OC and DC makes their calls.
To finish my point about the offense, I don’t believe the offense will win you games but I do believe the defense will give you a chance to win every game this year. By the way, I am one of those that believes that Burrow could develop into a really good QB by next year (possibly this year).

I don’t downvote or upvote. Just not my forte’. Besides, this board is for discussions of various topics. Don’t join those if you don’t like it. I’m looking for people that would like to discuss the possibility of something that is likely to happen in the next couple of years. I only used this year due to us nearly losing Aranda this past season and the ease of projections.

The thread was not meant to bash CEO although it leans heavily in that direction. I feel like it’s a legitimate question. My reasoning does lead me down the path towards CEO. Maybe others aren’t and I would like to know their reasons for why the outlook one way or another

Seems that’s his best opportunity to advance to HC, so that may be exactly why he stayed. Seems most of the posters on here would like him at HC so he is halfway there. Just needs the defense to shine if the season is as bad as being projected, and it could be sooner rather than later.
