You need to read the Ole Miss site very closely. You are not guaranteed a ticket, the only way to do that is to be a season ticket holder, then you get priority single game tix. That said, you can do what I just did, which is buy 2 endzone season tix ($165/each) and then put in an order for single game tix as you will have priority. With the Bama & Tenn. games there, you should be able to sell your extras w/out problem and have plenty of seats for the Tigers visit to Ole Miss. Geaux Tigers!!

No, it's said that on their site for several years when you buy the individual games. However, I've always gotten what I ordered through them every time.

That was from just buying single game without season tickets for the LSU games in like 05 and 07? If I don't get my order of two I guess I could always go Stubhub.

This is what the email Ole Miss sent me after I purchased two tickets:

Thank you for your ticket purchase. For future reference, your order confirmation number is ... A summary of your order follows:
LSU 21 NOV 2009 at TBA VAUGHT-HEMINGWAY STADIUM Price Type Price Level Qty Price Fee Cost
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RESERVED SIDELINE 2 55.00 5.00 120.00

I sure as hell better get two tickets after I just paid 120.00 for them.

$165 for season tickets?? Dammit. Shouldn't have any problem selling those with them ranked in the top 10 this year

The finance side of me says that they can have a months of free money making interest off of our money. I was pretty upset and here is the answer they gave me a couple of years ago. They keep taking season ticket orders and single game tickets until August-ish. The first group goes to the season tickets and then have to give so many to the visiting school. The next tickets go season ticket holders that want extra seats and then to people who have bought from them before but dont have season tickets(like a point system). I think what is left over goes to 1st come 1st serve but I think will give tickets to people with a Mississippi address just to screw over LSU fans. My suggestion is to wait on the hotel reservations until you have the tickets in hand. I doubt they will be available because they only have a decent team every 50 yrs. Again, I had a bad experience and I tried to find out what happened to my tickets.

Sorry for the delay. I did get my money back but it was September-ish. I am not trying to discourage people from trying this but the safer bet is stubhub. Also, I could be a rantard and say half the stadium was LSU in 05 and 07 but honestly there about 15K Tigers in the stadium. With their high school stadium that is still about a quarter of the seats. I will say that our 15k was louder than their 45k. It is the 1st year where there is at least a little hype in Oxfart so I wouldnt get your hopes up about getting tickets this way. I know I am not.

I wouldn't count on it being anything like it was in '05 or '07. It will be more like '03. And, like '03, I think there's a safe bet it could decide the West. I just hope Snead doesn't trip like Eli did.

As for other stadiums, I've always had a good time in Gainesville and they're stadium is the loudest I've been in because of the way it is built. Your fans are louder. But, the noise level is greater in the Swamp. The atmosphere at the one UK game I attended in Commonwealth Stadium sucked. We stayed with some UK students who lived close to campus. I remember walking across their entire campus in disbelief. Not until we were right up on the stadium would you have ever known there was a football game being played that day. I was seriously unimpressed. Even some Vandy fans tailgate.
