They replaced the grass with "Field Turf". It's actually pretty nice now, however the stadium is still slated for some major improvements in the next couple years.

Cotton is a nice consolation prize against TX or maybe OK (if they lose to WVU). But I really see us in the Rose or Fiesta. Can't imagine the Fiesta picking the Aggies over us....

I honk the aggiea will travel and presell more tickets to the fiesta than we will. Also there is a lot of lobbying going on from the Texas side to not play ATM. We will end up playing Texas wether it be the cotton or the fiesta. If ou beats West Virginia expect us and Texas in the cotton. Otherwise it's fiesta.

Dallas is the only bowl we travel real well to outside the sugar and the aggies are all fired up and will presell a ton. I expect we are good for 17-20k outside of the cotton or sugar bowl games

An beating Texas in the cotton bowl goes further in recruiting than another team in the fiesta

Living in Austin, I'd prefer cotton over the capital one. I'd love to stick it to thy neighbors.

The Cotton is going to be begging the Fiesta to let them have the A@M v. Texas hate match. Cotton would break a viewership record with that one. If Florida loses to FSU, I still think we go Fiesta.

Does anybody remember the last time we ended the season in Dallas and started the next season in Dallas? I would love to repeat that( with the outcome of next season being different from 2011 of course )

Agreed.... Prefer Fiesta/Rose for obvious reasons, but Cotton vs Texas is a very sexy matchup.

Cotton Bowl has become a "pseudo-BCS" game anyway with the new kickoff time and coverage.

Who gives a crap about playing a sorry tx team in a sorry bowl? They have nothing to lose and there may even be some Mack brown implications for that game (last game as tx coach, attempt to keep job, etc)
