Three things.

1. If they meet his price, he likely won’t care.

2. You never know how freshmen are gonna react to college football.

3. If he leaves LSU, I really have no concern about his playing time.

If they really wanted him they could increase the ante and he would be back. Or they may be planning on spending their money elsewhere.

Yeah ok, no need for a receiver with good hands who blocks really well in the run game. Auburn got him to ride the bench, lol

Daniels is mediocre at best! For what we paid he was very pedestrian
42 catches, 480 and zero tds. Not elite!

You don’t know ball, and you didn’t watch the games. Daniels was way better than his direct production. He helped get other people open, was great in run blocking, had to change positions the week before camp when Hilton went down, was open a good bit when Nuss was forcing it to Lacey or Taylor and just didn’t see him. Played all season on a hurt heel and got banged up again a couple more times. Was no coincidence our passing game suffered a good bit when he went down.

The coaches loved him, too. Also no coincidence that before he went down he lead all the WRs in snaps. Had over 50 more than Lacy less than halfway through the season. And almost double the snaps of Anderson. Dude is a good football player and made our offense more complete. Hated he left.

That’s said, he’s a nice #2, but probably should be a 3 in an LSU corps. He was worth grabbing this year, but next he’d be too steep. Not the best use of resources. And he’s got personal ties (football) at Auburn, they supposedly offered him a ton, and there’s fear his heel injury may be degenerative, so this may be his best chance to get a bag. That makes sense to me, because he’s a 5th year guy with enough film and traits to have not just declared for the draft instead of playing another year in college.

The freshman played a ton last year. Cam Coleman was a stud. Geez.

Sure, every portal transfer is a stud and starts for every team. We got portal guys that barely played last year. As a matter of fact, we got several who didn’t even play. LOL

I liked Daniels, because he was an excellent possession guy, but those guys can be found in the portal. He had zero explosiveness, and that’s what we need.

TE from Oklahoma is a good run blocker; that’s been sorely lacking since Thad.

Since Foster Moreau, actually. Thad was an okay run blocker. If he had been a good one he would have stuck in the NFL, because he was a very good receiver from the TE position.

Supposedly Florida bound.

Would not be my first choice for sure unless it’s the money.
