Just for fun, Boston College's leading passer, rusher, and reliever are Freshman.

You comparing Jimbo to Chisik?

Yes, i am. They both rode a QB to fame.

Fisher also took advantage of an incredibly weak conference. And now that Clemson, Miami, NC State, etc are much stronger teams, and Fisher doesn't have the all world QB, he is being exposed for the fraud he is.

I mean think about it, how good would ANY coach be in the SEC with Winston? How many championships would Miles have won with him?

Fisher is a good recruiter and a decent coach when he has a great QB... but who wouldn't be?

You have to ask why is he starting a Freshman at QB? Has he not recruited the position well enough to have upper classmen at that position right now? Is this Freshman THAT good? If so, why isn't he better.
Sounds like some Coaching miscue in there to me.

Right. Jimbo has been there long enough to have recruited the kinds of players that fit his system. They’ve consistently had very good recruiting classes. The loss of 1 QB shouldn’t derail the entire team, if he’s done his job well.

The only other explanation is that his team isn’t playing for him due to feeling bortrayed by his flirtation with LSU two seasons in a row. If that’s the case, it’s still his fault.

Jimbo lost to undefeated Bama and Miami, a one loss NC State team and the reining Heisman trophy winner.

With a freshman at QB.

But sure, that’s totally the same as losing to friggin Troy at home and getting our butts kicked by State.

Florida state was preseason #3. They are loaded with talent. You are a dumbass. Fisher did well with crab legs...he also lost by 43 to Louisville last year. You O haters are relentless

If Jalen Hurts snapped his leg in that game instead of Francios, Saban would be working with a true Freshman at QB too. So would we.

It’s not unusual for your backup to be right out of HS. And sometimes that guy isn’t ready to carry your team from day one.

2-4.

And the question is, would O have done better coaching FSU this year? LSU’s schedule to this point hasn’t been remotely as difficult as FSU’s.

He's about to be 2-5.

LSU at 6-3,
Alabama (loss), Auburn, Florida, MS State, Syracuse, OleMiss, and Troy, is most certainly NOT that much behind, (and could be easily argued as stronger across the board), than

Alabama, Miami, (Louisville (which LSU destroyed)), NC state, Boston College, Wake Forest, And Duke.

But thanks for trying

Well that’s like, your opinion man.

Go look up 2017 SOS rankings by, well anyone. FSU is almost always ranked as the toughest schedule in the country. LSU is always somewhere in the middle.

I'm pretty sure Hurts started his freshman year. Saba did pretty well coaching him up enough to compete in the SEC. They were only in the National Championship game.

You implied that FSU’s should have had someone ready to play behind Francios and the fact that they didn’t is an indication of a failure in recruiting.

I’m telling you that many teams would have been in the exact same situation if they lost their starter....relying on an unproven, undeveloped guy right out of HS.

It’s not an indictment on Fisher that his true freshman backup wasn’t ready to carry the team. Most aren’t.

Yes it is. Since he's a QB guru...Or supposed to be. And he's a top-notch coach, right? O haters continually say Jimbo is a much better coach than O. But then they make excuses for him when sonething goes wrong. Saban didnt make excuses when he started a freshman. If Jimbo is that caliber of coach, then he cant have excuses either. Hes been there a number of years. Hes had great recruiting classes every year...HIS recruits for HIS style of football. Or maybe he isn't. Maybe he got lucky with Winston. Maybe he's nothing more than a top notch offensive coordinator that got lucky as a head coach.

Or maybe the truth lies somewhere in the middle...

Losing your starting QB to injury typically hurts. You'll like lose a few games. But it shouldn't completely derail your season. Good coaches overcome that.

It wasn't that long ago when Tiger fans wanted Les fired for losing fewer gam es than this. He had just as good a resume as Jimbo. There's a double standard there.
