played ugly, close win and nothing new was learned (except we did clean up some penalties). I am very much afraid we will lose to: Alabama, Auburn, Florida and Arkansas with Ole Miss and A&M being toss-ups (I still give us less than 50% on both). Do we really only win 2 SEC games?

I learned that we're worse than I thought we were after last week. So there's something new.

I just really can't get a good feel for where this team is headed. I think we have some talent at some skill positions but both lines are pretty bad and with no depth and questionable coaching I just don't know.

I'm guessing one or two sec wins.

We saw a whole new set of mistakes, that gives me hope

LSU would do good to win just two.

Outside of Alabama what have these teams shown that would lead you to be so positive they would beat LSU. What have they done that is so impressive?
The LSU team in a few weeks is likely to be vastly different than the the past two games. There are some injured players who missed games or have just returned from injuries particularly on the defensive line. Assuming they are all available along with Frank Heron the defense will be vastly improves.
Saturday night there were three freshmen in the defensive backfield at times due to Battle's injury. Sure, their play was inconsistent but with a little more experience the will be more consistent.
The offensive line must begin to gel and show improvement , but remember it has been in a complete state of flux since preseason camp. Lets see how they develop now that they are settled in to their rotation.
The passing game should continue to evolve as the young receivers gain experience.
There are only a handful of programs which would not trade rosters right now. This team needs to get health and become a little more seasoned and good things can happen. They could end up with 8 to 10 wins depending on how they develop. Lets be supportive and not always see the doom and gloom.
This team is capable of

The fact that we did not use this game to practice the passing game more is so unbelievably stupid and that falls on the coaching staff. Are they so worried about eeking out a W against Syracuse that they aren't trying to developing the offense to consistently get them W in SEC play?
I don't care what anyone says, we played down to Syracuse's game plan instead of making them bend to ours. The football philosophy at LSU is antiquated and lacks luster. Cultural changes need to be made, this conservative BS will rack us up loss after loss in the SEC.

Well none of them were boatraced by MSU. I think that's where people's main source of disappointment is coming from, even moreso after MSU themselves were boatraced by UGA this past weekend.

Hard to pass effectively when pass rush is intense... young receivers off on routes. It'll get better.

You said we were going to lose several times in your previous posts.

MSU was the perfect storm. It's hard to play in that cowbell atmosphere for 20 freshman.
First road game for them. It'll get better

Nobody besides Bama is great. We could win or lose any individual game left( save Bama). Should at the very least be a wild ride.

I disagree. If this is the real LSU team and they won't drastically improve this season I cannot see them winning a SEC game.

I disagree. We learned the Mississippi State game was not an aberration.
