Napier is not in the least qualified to be the head coach of LSU.

Neither does Fickell, but he seems to be the consensus top choice.
I'd be happy with either because they are good coaches. Fickell obviously has taken Cincy farther than Napier has ULL, but Cincy has also had success with their last 3 coaches: Tuberville (least successful), Butch Jones and Brian Kelly.
You hit the nail on the head with where Cincy is in the rankings.
